Anne and I both have to do a little workplace shuffling, but count on us being there. :ttr:

I missed the two When I Grow Up signings in NJ, so this was my first experience with one. The Paramus B&N was super crowded, but also super organized. They had seats for maybe the first 70 people in line, and then a large open area for the line overflow. People started lining up around 6:00pm and by 7:00pm the overflow area was pretty packed. Al came out promptly at 7:00pm at which point the entire crowd serenaded him with Happy Birthday. He seemed very grateful. The B & N staff seemed to keep the line moving without being overly pushy. Everyone had their books signed, but the staff would also allow for other items to be signed and pictures/chit chat to take place. I was waiting with Adrian and Anne and we had about 80 people in front of us. We got to see Al around 8:15, so I'd say each person got around a little over or a little under a minute. I got a photo, two autographs, and a personalized note for the tattoo studio that did my Al tattoo. I left with Dave, Jackie, Adrian, and Anne afterwards, so I'm not sure how long Al stuck around or if he lingered with fans. All in all a great event though! I would definitely attend another signing at this location.

I figured I'd let Adrian tell the story and present his beautiful photograph...

...I will say he didn't succumb to curiosity and go for what's in the box.
