I understand that the original Behind the Music was done in 1999 and then Bad Hair Day was Al's biggest selling record when the program first aired. However what they should of done was edit that statement out when in reality Straight Outta Lynwood holds that title.

Whoa! I think you blew my mind. Maybe that's where the massive confusion on my end came from. OK, this sparks a question... what was the highest grossing single between Amish Paradise and White and Nerdy?

Overall, I wouldn't say this "remastered" version was disappointing in the slightest. There were some minor issues with the editing that you guys bought up (like Coolio and Al's Grammy's) but I think that can just be attributed to a rush job so I guess I could overlook them since they covered his post-Scissors career adequately enough. Still, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it was strange that they spent as much time on "Weasel Stomping Day" and the Funny Or die trailer as they did. I didn't mind them mentioning the "Simpsons" cameo since that was pretty quick.

I'd also add that since the Simpsons is something Al always wanted to do and considers a big career moment, I'd let it slide.

The whole BTM: Remastered concept is pretty flawed for artists that are still active. I've seen the Green Day and Metallica ones, and they're just as rough in parts. It's much easier for artists like Hall & Oates and Pat Benatar (No offense to them, it's just there's not as much to update). VH1 should really re-evaluate the idea. But I will add, I'm pretty much fine with what we got.

As for the single question, White & Nerdy's platinum and Eat It is gold. Amish Paradise was a hit, but not on that level. Amish Paradise sold well, but it wasn't a big hit chart-wise.

Okay. That makes sense. I think the whole funny or die trailer was kind of funny to mention but I can see your point. I don't know why they didn't ever mention "The Weird Al Show?"

I liked it overall. I also thought they spent too much time on WSD and "Weird." I get why they included the Simpsons(the whole band thinks that was a pretty big deal). Polka Party shouldn't be overlooked as a career thing because it was a "clunker" moment(even though I enjoy the album myself!).

Because it isn't notable outside the Weird Al fandom and even Al is kinda embarrassed of some of it.

I'd like to congratulate Al on his 4 Grammys!

I just realized...the announcer said Poodle Hat was Al's 4th comedy grammy. So I guess that means with the video for Fat, Al has 5 Grammys!




Interesting look for Al in the new segments. Must've been growing in the 'stache for the How I Met Your Mother cameo. The timing seems to work out. We found out about the BTM in August and he filmed HIMYM in early October.
