If this festival truly is as big of a deal as Jon thinks it is, I would be tempted to say there could be at least a small chance that Al might debut a new parody (most likely in the medley between "eBay" and "Bedrock Anthem") or possibly a new original in one of the "rotating songs" spots...that is if he feels confident enough in the songs he recorded in January and May...or if he feels comfortable enough in doing this to maybe generate some buzz for the new album...hopefully, two months between the end of the "official" tour and this one-off performance should be plenty of time for Al to at least come up with a few parodies and record them...he'd probably be more likely to debut the ones he just wrote...hey, it wouldn't necessarily be the first time he preformed a song nobody has ever heard before at a one off preformance...hopefully, it won't be the second time nobody ever hears said songs again...

What do you mean "if"? Just look at the line-up. But this will be more like Bamboozle in that it's part of a larger festival, so I doubt very much that he would debut a new song there.

I have to say I am shocked that more people here aren't extremely stoked about this. I am seriously considering flying out to attend, and it would be a great meet-up for Al fans from around the country.

Al seems to have a much bigger part in this festival than he did in Bamboozle, including the fact that apparently he'll be playing his full two and a half-hour set. Initially, I was thinking it would be one of those shows that cut his set down or something, but upon further reading, he's pretty much opening up the festival.

And all the other bands involved here sound great. I'm really looking forward to seeing Al, but hopefully I can catch some of my other favorites while I'm there. Hope to see you guys at the show!

Yeah a very similar type of festival, though only 3-4 stages whereas Lolla had at least six that I can remember.

This seems like just a great great gig for Al. More and more he's being treated as a serious music act (well, you know what I mean, he's funny but he takes the music seriously, and I think that's being recognized more and more).

I agree, Helen. I see this as a continuation of the Bamboozle / Pixies trend.

He should do all alternating songs to extend the show.

How would he go about doing "alternating" songs with the "official" tour being over and the next performances being a month away?
