Al on the AMAs!!! (was "AMAs in November?")

I liked the parts when they showed Al. The preshow thing was cool. Although the reporter can't think of her name) called the song Fat "I'm Fat". Oh well.

The joke about everyone being a winner except Al was hilarious!!!! I didn't take it as a mean joke or anything like that. I think Jimmy told the crew that he was going to do a joke about Al. So the crew zeroed in on him. Either that or the guy just got lucky.

All in al I think Al got plenty of air time if not more than some of the other presenters. Think about it the pre-show, the joke about Al, the presentation, and the part where they went back in time and showed some of the funniest moments at the AMA's. They showed Al with Coolio.

Atleast Al got to mention about his new CD and such. That might help his record sales. Also Al got a REALLY big gift bag for FREE.

Really big gift bags are always a plus! I thought the joke was kinda funny as well. I mean, it's mean and somewhat offensive....but I just like hearing Al mentioned! Unfortunatley I missed out on the preshow thingy.

Gift bags are pretty standard at award shows for presenters. And the STUFF they put in those things is outrageous! I think it was on E! I had seen some of the things that go into them. I could buy a few outfits for the cost of what goes into those giftbags! :biggrin:

I saw it on ET. They were talking about the AMA's and then they showed the gift bags that each presenter and performer gets. I think they said each bag of goodies was worth around $5,000. You name it they had it.

yeah i saw al on the AMA's but the joke jimmy kimmel did bugged me because i am don't really know jimmy kimmel that well. but it was a very well done joke. i loved what al said, it was hilarious. i was happy to see al introduced evanscene but it would have been better if al played. but hey seeing al is better than not at all. i told all these people i know about al being on t.v. of couse after al was done then i started watching malcolm in the middle. hope al is on t.v. again soon.

I just don't see how it could bug anyone. If you have a good sense of humor than you'd see it as a joke and nothing else. I heard somewhere that Al and Jimmy are friends.
