Al on the AMAs!!! (was "AMAs in November?")
According to Rock on TV, Al is scheduled to appear/perform (?) on the American Music Awards on November 16th. See here for details.
Just a couple questions: 1) Aren't the AMAs usually sometime in the winter? Why are they doing it so early this time? 2) Do you think Al will be performing or presenting?

Okay I just reread the entry. Al is presenting an award, not performing. But I still don't understand why the show is being done in November. I'm thinking that Rock on TV got their info wrong, and that this is actually supposed to be the Billboard Music Awards, which are usually held around November.

Yeah, i think they usually air around the end of January. Maybe they tape it in November and air it in January?
His AMA appearances in the past have been entertaining. Coolio and Melissa Joan Hart, his hot muffin of love.

Uh, no. Not likely. For a few reasons: 1) They wouldn't tape an awards show three months ahead of time. They like to be as current as possible with presenters/performers/hosts, etc... 2) Rock on TV lists time when a show is being shown on TV, not when it's being taped. 3) If you think about the appearance of Al with Coolio in 1996, Al was dressed like Coolio as a not-so-subtle hint at his upcoming album (which dropped on March 12th). I doubt he would have done that if the show was taped way back in November before the song (AP) was even written.
My guess is the AMA people are changing their airdate so that they are not so close to the Grammy awards. Either that, or Rock on TV messed up and that's actually supposed to be the Billboard Awards.
