Al parodies what's popular. Always has, always will. Rap is more popular in the mainstream than rock. And there's very little rock making it big right now. That's just how it is. Most of the music scene is either rap, R&B, or pop.weirdojace @ October 04, 2008 07:28 pm wrote: I Kissed a Girl - NO! Too many parodies of this exist already, it's already a novelty song, and Katy Perry pisses me off.
Whatever You Like - I'm soooo sick of Al parodying rap songs lately. (Yes, I lump Usher and R. Kelly in that category.) You know, Al... other genres exist. There are some rock songs out there that are pretty damn popular. Also, he hasn't touched the emo scene at all. Seriously. There are so many better targets than all these rap songs.
I really hope the parody is of that Pink song, because it's not only something different, but it's actually a pretty cool song.
As for Emo...nobody gives a flying crap about that music. You have a better chance of Al parodying Elmo.
Pink? Sure. There's definitely a good chance of that. He's parodied "punk rock" girls before with Avril and Cyndi Lauper. So there's a possibility. But I'm betting on the T.I. parody. I'm not a big fan of T.I., but I think it's the more likely candidate.
Oh, and Usher and R Kelly are NOT rap artists. Not by a long shot. Let's keep our facts straight please.
