I've started listening to Al less and less and coming here less and less, I think because the tour is over and we have no new album news yet, but I think when more things start happening with Al like starting recording for the new album. Then you/me/others will become more interested eventually.

I'm here as much as possible...I go days without listening to him, because I never start my music player, but when I do, I always listen to Al.
"Did you see Journey to the Center of the Earth?"
"I did!"
"Me neither...wait..."
"You had that planned didn't you?"
"..yeah.."

I'm almost ALWAYS here, or at least within a few mouse clicks. When something interesting happens, I pretty much know about it. :P

Al himself likes a lot of different bands, different comedians, etc. I don't think even he would insist on someone's exclusive devotion as a condition for True Fandom. And as a general matter, between concert tickets and CD/DVD purchase, I say go for the concert tickets. You can still buy the recorded media later, after all.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

It helps to take breaks if only to keep things fresh and exciting and not have them go stale and mundane for you. After the Scissors tour I listened to a lot of Ben Folds; in the summer of 2001 I was lucky to have Spinal Tap's Back From The Dead tour nearby in Anaheim, a real treat. After the end of the Poodle Hat tour in 2004 I had a lot of that...uh..."work" stuff going on; I really got back into U2 then and got some other things going on in my life that are still active like my art studio, Greg, etc. :D

Actually my life got so full before SOL that I almost was too swamped when all the Al stuff geared up again, but I have to remember to be grateful. Before I really got back into Al in the late 1990s I had put away my art for years. Getting back into my demented side got me back in touch with my creativity, too. There's a lot of abundance in my life in a lot of arenas that has come about, directly or indirectly, because of Al.

Think of this period as expanding your horizons. :peace:

Just break into one of his concerts and run up on stage and pretend you are drunk, you're interest will come back... B)

I don't even really like Weird Al anymore. I just come here out of habit.

Well, people sometimes just come here because they are bored, like when my friend builds with Legos still and melted his when he "lost interest" in them. :stern:
