I love the part at the end of AORTB when the boys are getting their applause. Al drops the Spastastic Wacky Weird Al schtick and gives a really genuine, sweet, slightly shy, smile. I love that part. His real smile is a thing of beauty.

I agree with you Dr. Dad. I wish he had waited for more video material to include, or at least included a commentary track.

And, "Bob" is NOT a video any more than LITF, "Lasagna" or "Lousy Haircut" is a "video."

And if he could include those videos, then why not also include "Green Eggs and Ham"???

Yup. And that's probably one of the main reasons that, as we've said embarrassingly often, Al is better-looking in real life than when he's doing "Weird Al."
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Well, remember Dave, the Seuss Estate specifically denied permission for GE&H. Al wouldn't go against their wishes. As far as I'm aware, Prodigy never denied permission (or was even asked permission for that matter) for the Lousy Haircut vid.

I actually like the "Bob" video and I'm glad he included it, although I am disappointed that Al didn't take two hours and do a commentary track. I'm wondering though, if he does release more videos (here's hoping!) he would most likely want to release it on DVD ASAP after it comes out. Remember Alapalooza and BHD each got their own separate VHS release. Assuming there are videos for the next album, do you think he'll release them as a DVD "single" or maybe he would add it on to a DVD for TWAS? Perhaps he might even include a DVD with those videos along with Greatest Hits Volume 3. Who knows? I am kind of split on whether I would want him to rerelease the video collection again after his next videos. On one hand it would be nice to have them all on the same disc, and he might even do a commentary next time. On the other hand, I would feel kind of ripped off for having bought THIS video collection.

I don't think the way Al does stuff that it would be two hours to do a commentary. Other artists might just sit down and talk during the video and call that a commentary track, but I think Al would dig out his old notes and really research it. It would probably take him days rather than hours. Which he didn't have.

Yes, you're right, but I would have prefered a spontaneous commentary over none at all.

I agree that there could have been more or a commentary track. But I have to say that I'm just thankful :) that I got it and that he decided to release it, after he was on tour. And maybe Al was trying to make up for the missing videos from this album. I mean he could have stayed home with his family.

I waited a week to get this so I love it.

In my opinion I think the main reason why he did this was to promote the Aussie tour. Also when Al signed his new contract maybe he HAD to release a DVD with all the videos granted if had any new ones or not.

I think the main reason was to promote the tour. And he figured that if he released it just in Australia and not the U.S. that's like committing suicide.

I think you should just be greatful with what you got and move on. Some people in Peru don't have anything.

Lets forget about this noncommentary cr*p and move on!!!!!

*Phew* I feel much better now. :)
