Writing to Dick Clark Productions, eh? Hmm...I wonder where one would be able to find an address for that...

I would actually recommend writing just to Dick Clark and not worry about writing to individual video labels. Dick Clark owns the show, and they would be the one deciding to release it, and should that happen I'm sure they'd either have a video company in mind or discuss it with Al or Jay.

Yes, I know. I just wanted an excuse to use the word "hortatory." I heard it somewhere (I don't remember where!) and I wanted to use it! LOL!

Look! I found another place to vote for the Weird Al show! I dont know how much impact it'll have on actually getting it released, but at least it'll give more evidence that the show deserves a DVD release. Go here and vote now!

I just made a post at alt.music.weird-al about releasing the DVD. Just to help get the word around. I think I'm going to save the post and keep re-posting it every couple weeks. That'll inform them!

I wanted to bump this because I think early 2005 is the perfect time for a TWAS release.

Just about every show is being released on DVD these days: Titles ranging from Seinfeld to Survivor...even ABC Afterschool Specials!

Think about it: we probably won't get another ALbum until 2006. And since Al won't be touring, there needs to be some big release this year.

Let's be reasonable...we don't need a Criterion version of TWAS...but a cult company like Shout! Factory (the Rhino-equivalent of DVDs) would be the perfect fit. They released an acclaimed set of Freaks and Geeks earlier this year, and like TWAS, that was another short-lived cult classic.
