That's great, Kevbo! I hope to meet you there, hopefully once I get everything together. I know where I'll be staying once everything becomes permanent. Just gotta keep my eyes on the plane ticket prices.

Tickets for OC have varied depending on how its done again. In 2004, we had to pay for only admission, which was a few dollars. In 2002, there was arranged seating. I think we still had to buy admission (which was very cheap,) plus the concert tickets, which was 10 dollars.

As far as I know, they will not be doing the reserved area tickets again this time (2004 didn't have that either, the $10 ss27 was talking about). It's a free for all- you sit in line for hours and then they open the flood gates.

You pay admission to the fairgrounds, which was $7 last year. It shouldn't veer too far from that price.

Keep checking back there for more information.

I really, really hate that festival style seating. I swore off general admission shows a few years back, but I'll make an exception for OC.

I think we all need to wear WOWAY name tags, and we need to bring along some sort of game we can play while we're waiting in line.

P. S. I think it would be funny to get Al ringtones and then all call each other on the cell phone and let them ring...(before the show that is, not during the show!)

It would be a symphony of Al voices all playing at once. :P

Good ideas! We should have the same ones, but with different names of course. Then then we schedule a time for them to go off in the line, and we'll find the fans!

Question: Even though I live in Los Angeles, I've never been to the OC Fair, show how exactly does it work for concerts. Is there seating or standing up? I just need to explain it all to my mom.

You know what game I'd suggest? Bobbing for petition signatures.

It's a stadium (with a dirt arena). The seating on one side of the stadium is filled, but the best seats are the rows and rows of folding chairs in the dirt. The stage is pushed to one side of the arena. Lemme see if I can find a picture.

Arena <<< The covered side is the side they fill for the audience. They place more chairs down in the dirt.

The line forms just outside of the chain link fence (lower corner in photo).

Looks like I'll have to come early to get good seats.

(looks at photo) CARROT TOP! YIKES!

When I was there 2 tours ago, the white divider wall wasn't there. I hope they take it down for the show.

Also, the venue gets quite dusty, and the hard chairs can get pretty hard after a while. Bringing along something to sit on might be a good idea. It's also going to be hot, so those little hand held portable fans might be appropriate, too.

Bobbing for petition signatures sounds like a stellar idea, Greg! I'm there!

The white wall was there in 04. I doubt it's going anywhere.
