WBUL...mmm....Al unbuttoning his shirt... :9~
*ahem*
I know the thing I like best about Al is that he is such a nice, sweet man who cares about his fans. How many artist actually remember their fans names? He's a humble person too.
Plus, as my dad would probably mention and it's one of the initial things I thought when I first became a fan. He's a great role model. How can parents say no to a kid liking an artist who graduated as valedictorian and a has a degree in architecture?
Not to mention, his music is just something that makes me a lot happier.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks, El. I will add that what I initially said was based on my first encounter with Al. He couldn't have made a better impression if he tried. Really a very sweet man.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

I also said what I liked most was his genuine appreciation of his fans and how he goes out of his way to let us know that but I can discuss the music too!
What I love about Al's music is that it is so creative and covers a wide-range of styles/genres. He can do everything from pop, to alternative, to hip-hop, to country, and of course, he plays a mean polka! To me, this makes him more talented than other muscians who can only write, sing, and/or play a certain style of music. He's very underrated as a muscian, IMO, maybe because some people have a dismissive attitude towards the art of writing parodies and comedic songs. Personally, I think he's a genius and I'm in awe of his talents.
And to get back to the drooling just for a moment--thanks for the WBUL pic, MarlinsGirl! I actually went to the Mothership (I'm doing my best to learn the lingo) and checked out a few pics. Didn't see a single one from any of his VA shows so now I most definitely need to get some shots to submit when I go see him in concert again!
