Does anyone know when this disc is supposed to be out. I know that it was originally scheduled for a December, 2003 release, but it was held back because they had trouble located the widescreen version of the film. I went to amazon.com and found this run down of the extras:


DISC 1

I went to www.orgazmoDVD.com, www.craptv.com, and www.crapmag.com, and found nothing. I personally can't wait to get this DVD, not just for Al's commentary, but also for the movie itself! I loved that movie. It's easily one of the funniest, most well-written films ever.

For those of you who are easily offended, be wary. There's plenty of offensive stuff in this movie. However, there's almost ZERO nudity and there's very little strong language. What there is, however, is a lot of sexually humor and religious humor. Those of you with a strong affiliation with organized religion should be especially careful. But if you can get past what offends you about this movie, you'll really enjoy it.

So, does anyone have a release date for this or what?

Some person on IMDB summed it up better than I could:

Joe Young was a simple young man trying to spread the word of the Book of Mormon when he picked the wrong house to preach at! The owner, a porn director named Maxxx Orbison, tells his henchmen to kill the guy at the door who interrupted their scene, but Joe fights off the guards with great skill, which impresses Maxxx so much that he offers Joe the lead role in the movie he's making at the moment: Orgazmo, which is about a sex superhero who fights crime with his Orgazmorator and ChodaBoy, his sidekick. Joe, against his beliefs, takes the job so that he can pay for the wedding he plans for he and his fiancee, who he doesn't tell about his risque new acting job. However, when the movie becomes an amazing hit just about everywhere and he finds out that Ben (ChodaBoy) has created a real Orgazmorator, Joe is in some serious hot water!

It really boggled my mind when I first found out that Al had done a commentary on this movie, even though the makers of it are friends of his. Finally I came across a site that transcribed exactly what he did say (which I won't try to paraphrase in case anybody REALLY REALLY wants to be surprised). But anybody who is thinking of buying Orgazmo just for the Al connection should know that he says approximately one line about the movie in general. It's mildly amusing (the line, not the movie; I haven't seen the movie). So don't say I didn't warn you. :)
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

It was last week on TV overhere , didn't see though ( Soccergames Champions League Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich 1-0 , RM to next round )


Amazon says on the 1998 version;

I believe that one is an import. The movie has never been released in America on DVD, although it has been released on VHS.

Somehow I doubt that Al's commentary will be limited to a single line. I don't think they would list him on the box if he only said one little line. But I guess we'll have to see. Either way, I'm buying the DVD for the movie itself. It really is a brilliantly written satirical comedy. I'd say it's easily as good as "UHF" and "The Naked Gun," just with a different, more edgy brand of comedy. The juxtaposition of the Mormon religion with the porn industry is in itself a brilliant idea!

I can't wait!

I looked in the dutch stores on the I-net and there are 2 ( somehow related stores ) that sell them for 10 euro's = +/- US$13 , but the only problem is that they are Region 2 ( but with dutch subtitles) :biggrin:
