Al mention on WWE's Chris Jericho DVD set

Post by Jigawatt »

So I've been watching "Breaking The Code: Behind The Walls of Chris Jericho" -- a 3 DVD set documenting Jericho's wrestling career. On disc 2, they have his first-ever match, which was broadcast on some local station up in Calgary. Jericho and WWE announcer Matt Striker are providing alternate commentary on the match, and at one point, in referring to the station it was being broadcast on, Jericho points out that it is a local station "like Al Yankovic's station on UHF." :#

I'll try and get a clip of it...

Cool that Jericho is a fan, or at least a fan of UHF! I always kind of thought Striker was nerdy enough that he was a fan. Now they've just got to get Al on to guest host RAW!!!

I know, I thought it was not only great that Jericho mentioned it, but Striker being all "UHF, yeah!!" was great. :great:

I also found it interesting that he referred to him as Al Yankovic, as opposed to "Weird Al" or "Weird Al" Yankovic.

If Al hosted Raw, that would be super-amazing and AWESOME. :ttr:

That's cool. I'm picking the set up next week, as I'm a huge Jericho fan, but it's random he'd mention UHF.
