Has Al run out of ideas for songs like One More Minute, Melanie, The Good Old Days, and You Don't Love Me Anymore? Those are his only four original ballads. Is he ever going to write anymore?

DICYO is pretty close to being a ballad....and I'm willing to bet the that lack of an actual ballad isn't because of a lack of ideas, there's lots of other reasons why Al might have decided not to write a ballad.

I love the ballads. That soulful voice, those hilarious lyrics....that juxtaposition can't be beat, for me anyhow!

I was thinking hey Al how about a a rock ballad? That's something you really haven't done and I think would fit more into your current style of music.

his ballets like OMM and YDLMA are some of my favorite songs and DICYO is really good too. ONe of my favorite songs on SOL

I think YankovicGretzky is talking about original ballads. Thus, "Do I Creep You Out" doesn't really count.
