As we all know Al has many obsessions he writes in his music and his other works. Like in TWAS it was uvula, sweet pea soup and the underground rats. And there are many more...any thoughts

I don't think of them so much as obsessions but recurring jokes. Like nostrils.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

The bladder is mentioned in both Pancreas and Drive-Thru. I'm sure there's some more inter-song jokes on SOL...

psst, crazygurl, it was split pea soup in the Fatman cartoon, and then there was the even more disgusting sounding split pea fudge, which scared the rats away.

Yes, Al likes to put interesting words/items into songs and tv shows, and with the new Pancreas song, you do learn something, too!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Yes, there are, Grom.

I pointed out in my original album review that the "midget" - "Bridget" ryhme that Al uses in "Confessions Part III" was used in "Trapped in the Closet." Don't know if it was an intentional reference, but it could have been.

Also, I noticed a number of references to cats on the album. Two in ISY. One in C-P3. And of course the video for CBNC.

Then of couse, Al did a style parody of "We Are the World" and also parodied American Idol's style parody of "We Are the World" on the same album!

And the Gigli/Ben Affleck in Virus Alert and I'll Sue Ya, respectively.

Oh, there's also a couple mentions of hockey on the album.

And also the "Gold Digger" and "big, fat, slobberin' pig" lines were very obvious references to K. Fed and Britney Spears. :P

I was thinking the same thing. I think the reason he used it was because there's not a lot else that rhymes with midget.
Cane and Rinse: weekly thoughtful video game discussion. Give it a listen, won't you?

Fidget, widget.

Other recurring things: Bad tuna.

From Theme from Rocky XIII:
Stay away from the tuna, it smells funny tonight.
and from Trapped in the Drive Thru:
I said "Well, there's tuna, I know." She said "That went bad a week ago!"
