While I was listening to one of my friend's Weird Al concerts, I was listening to King of Suede on the Summer Fest show on July 4th, 1984 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I've noticed that Al made a lyrical mistake!
In one verse, Al sings:
"Well I never made it past the 2nd grade, it took all of my life for me to learn this trade, but my friends are all thinking that I've got it made cause I'm numer one over as the King of Suede"
in place of:
"Our prices our low, my staff is under paid. You can buy off the rack or have it custom made and it's all guaranteed to never shrink or fade cause of my reputation as the King of Suede."
I'm sure that I am not the one hearing things.
Have any of you who have the 07/04/84 Milwaukee, Wisconsin show heard this?
