While I was listening to one of my friend's Weird Al concerts, I was listening to King of Suede on the Summer Fest show on July 4th, 1984 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I've noticed that Al made a lyrical mistake!

In one verse, Al sings:

"Well I never made it past the 2nd grade, it took all of my life for me to learn this trade, but my friends are all thinking that I've got it made cause I'm numer one over as the King of Suede"

in place of:

"Our prices our low, my staff is under paid. You can buy off the rack or have it custom made and it's all guaranteed to never shrink or fade cause of my reputation as the King of Suede."

I'm sure that I am not the one hearing things.

Have any of you who have the 07/04/84 Milwaukee, Wisconsin show heard this?

Post your replies here.

Wow, that's odd. He can only pull that off during SLN.

Yep, I've heared it, so you're not hearing things. ;) Yeah, as perfect as Al is, he still messes up a line now and then. He did something very similar during Jerry Springer in the medley at my last concert.

Yeah, Al's human...he screws up now and then.

He did a similar thing during Close, But No Cigar in Detroit during one of my concerts last year. With the repeating verse.

I've heard about things like that happening at Al's concert, And I agree with Alinite, Even though Al wrote the songs and performs everynight for a few months straight, he forgets words sometimes, and he's human, and wouldn't you do the same thing if you were infront of 2,000+ people?

It happened at the concert I went too, as well. In CBNC, he complains that two girls have abnormally large earlobes, rather than one liking Joe Dirt.

They must've been sisters or something.
Sever your leg, please. It's the greatest day.
