UHF deleted scenes

Post by Yank27 »

i read this review of the new UHF dvd and it said that the quality isnt all that great on the deleted stuff because they came from a VHS that was sitting in Al's closet for a long time. is this true about the deleted stuff?

the review can be found here: http://dvd.ign.com/articles/359/359742p1.html

Probably true. Apparently Orion didn't keep any extra footage, which also explains why there are no bloopers available. Of course, soon after UHF was released in 89, it became very cool to save the outtakes and run them under the credits at the end of a movie.

figures there would be no outakes. because if there was one movie i would really like to see outakes on, it would be UHF. are there any what so ever movies or something that contains any Al bloopers? because i have never seen an Al outake before.

I don't know if the Naked Gun movies or Safety Patrol would ever have bloopers available, or if there are any. There are probably outtakes from the TV show, but I don't know if the show will ever be made available again, or if any extra stuff would be included.

Perhaps if UHF does very well with DVD sales, Dick Clark Productions might be persuaded to release some sort of "Best of TWAS" collection. Besides, these days the only satire for kids out there aside form Rocky and Bullwinkle reruns is the Powerpuff Girls. [If someone would only do one of those 'Mozart makes your kids smarter'-type studies with TWAS, maybe? ]

Cheers, Diva

who is looking forward to getting her pre-ordered UHF from Amazon in a few weeks
