I just read in the NYTimes today that there is a commercial on MTV for "...voice-greeting ring tones recorded by members of the punk band Green Day". "..offering witty ripostes. "Pick up the phone!" demands Mike Dirnt, the band's bassist, in one. "It's your mother. I know. She's with me.'' " Shows how much I watch MTV.

So, who would pay $2.49 for a voice-greeting ring tone recorded by Al?

And,

What would you want him to say?

I'd answer "YES!" to the first question and I'm still pondering the answer to the second one, but I'll post when I decide. :F

I would and I don't even have a cell phone.

Hmmm.

"Wow, this must be the loudest cell phone in the world. Would you answer it already!?"

Thats a good one because I can *hear* him saying that.

So would this ringtone service be personalizable?

(It's been ages since I had a cell phone so I have no clue what talking ringtones sound like, either).

I guess either what stupidsurgeon27 said... or:

"What kind of IDIOT comes to a show and leaves their cell phone on?"

or maybe

"ANSWER IT OR SOMETHING!!"

I think just Al's laugh would be a great ring. Of course you would get some strange looks, but its worth it.

I would want Al to sing the carciongenic sweetner line from DED. Either that, or the KA-BLAM line from WBUL.

Oh, I would certainly pay for an Al-voiced ring tone. I have no idea what I would want it to say.

How about "DRUM SOLO!!!"

I would pay for a Weird Al ringtone. And, I think I would like it to say ...

"Uh huh ... extra cheese. Uh huh, uh huh ... save a piece for me."

Yes, "Extra Cheese" and "Drum Solo" would be awesome

"I HATE SAUERKRAUT!"

"Wakka Wakka doo doo yeah!"

The 'airplane crash' laugh from Albuquerque

I think a combo phone ring and "WHO IS IT!!?" would be cool too.

...now I really want a cell phone and I really want these ringtones!
