Hey, guys. Let's make an ultimate, alphabetical listing of each and every celebrity referenced in all of Al's songs. We can compile the list in a manner similar to how we did the death tally (before it got lost). One album at a time. alsongs.com has links to many of them, but they missed a lot, and they are not listed alphabetically anywhere.

What do say? Anybody up for doing this?

Can we do them not in alphabetical order and just put them in alphabetical order later?

If so, Vanna White was referanced in Even Worse. Couch Potato has probably 100 celebrity mentions in it.

Yeah, that's what I meant to say, but didn't. We would just do them one album at a time, and then someone can put them in alphabetical order when we're finished.

Don't just name random references, though. We should do it album by album to make sure we get them all.

We'd better define "celebrity" here. Do you mean "real person identifiable by name or prominent characteristic?" I mean, are you going to count "that guy with the real flat hair that goes "woof woof woof" and waves his fist in the air" as a celebrity for purposes of this list?

I'm glad that much of the murder research has been reclaimed from other sources. :)
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I feel sorry for whoever does PH; because of Couch Potato. I'll start this off with Bad Hair Day.

We should also countdown the songs and albums from the most to least celebrities. When we've got everything that is.

Amish Paradise: 0
Everything You Know is Wrong: 2 (Jamie Farr, Col. Sanders)
Cavity Search: 0
Callin' in Sick: 0 (unless you count Jim Varney as Ernest)
The Alternative Polka: 0
Since You've Been Gone: 0
Gump: 2 (two real ones that is: JFK and LBJ)
I'm So Sick of You: 0
Syndicated Inc: 3 (Oprah, Regis, Kathie Lee)
I Remember Larry: 0
Phony Calls: 1 (Prince Albert)
The Night Santa Went Crazy: 0

Santa's not a celebrity? I think this is a fun idea. I'll catch up with you guys once I'm finished compiling the Murder thing.

I don't know about "the guy that waves his arm and goes 'woof woof woof.'" I mean, we all know it's a clear reference to Arsenio Hall, but he isn't mentioned by name. I would think that it would count since it's still a reference to Arsenio. What do you guys think?

Also, should we count characters who are portrayed by celebrities. Such as Jim Varney as Ernest, Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump, and Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn?

I think we should include the "woof woof woof" reference. We are making this list for posterity.

Aren't we?
