Accordion question

Post by Miss Janine »

I know that the little red one is the midi, but what exactly does "midi" mean, and how is it different from Al's other "axes"? Yes, I have no idea, and figure someone here does.

You know what... this is a good question for Ask Al. I'd be interested in knowing why and when Al chooses MIDI over the traditional accordion.

Well, that answered my question. Thanks! As far as Ask Al, I've sent so many questions in that I wouldn't doubt that Bermuda goes nuts every time my name comes up. Let someone else have the fun this time.

Accordions cost a lot of money. I went to a couple pawn shops around here and they cost about 300-400 (U.S. dollars) just from there.

I believe not all of Al's accordions are MIDIs but I could be wrong....

Good question for the man himself!

Uh, Bermuda? Please?

^thinks MIDI is a type of magical keyboard thingie where you can get different sounds like on a traditional keyboard..is that right?

I thought he only had one MIDI, that red one.

Yes, exactly. I thought it was a new gift for the new album at the time (Was that RWS or BHD, maybe??) I remember Al saying he got a lot of mileage on the new Midi accordion on the new album though...where was that quote??

Hmm...

Wow, for once a lowly Al fan may be right!
