I'm So Sick Of You

I've been realizing that there isn't a topic for this, so I was just wondering what your thoughts are on the song.
In particular, what have you thought about the song originally and what you think of it now (and has the song grown with you in some way), how good is it compared to the other originals/style parodies/pastiches on the Bad Hair Day album and all style parodies in general, and, most importantly, if you're an Elvis Costello fan, if you can pick out or know what specific songs Al took inspiration from to make "ISSOY".

Personally, I don't think it's that bad of a song on its own, but compared to the other songs on the album, and one or two of the parodies, it might be the skippable track of the album.

When I heard the line "i never dated anyone this low on a food chain", I was like "haha, joke's on you, Al".

It's pretty fun song, but when you think of it, it's completely nonsensical. I mean, why don't you dump her ass and stop complaining .

I didn't enjoy the song all that much until I learned that it was an Elvis Costello style parody (which was after I got into EC myself). It mostly reminds me of "Pump It Up."

Same here, though in addition to "Pump It Up", I also hear some "High Fidelity."

I've always found this song catchy and funny.. nothing not to like about it.

I really enjoy this song, and my enjoyment increased dramatically after I started getting into Elvis Costello and realized how good the style parody is.
Full Disclosure: I have a soft spot in my heart for every track on Bad Hair Day because it was the first new album I bought on release day after becoming an Al fan.
