LOL!! Jon said that? That is priceless! I was seriously LOL when I read your message, Dr. Dad! Thanks for the laugh! I'll have to look at that thread again.

I think Al might parody Creed. They really are asking for it, aren't they? As far as who I think he could polkafy, Shakira comes to mind. She has that song "Objection: Tango" with an accordion-like instrument called a bandoneon on it, so it's perfect. And she says "Hey!" a bunch of times at the end of the song! Maybe! hehe!

J-Lo may not show up on Poodle Hat, but I think she has been channeling Al. Have you seen the newest video? It's a visual parody (not comical) of Flashdance.

Which is kind of funny because the other day I was wondering when we would see the off-the-shoulder sweatshirts again. With J-Lo's vid, I guess it will be soon.

I hope the legwarmers don't catch on again, they were stupid the first time around.

Even if I did have a few pair. :lookround:

Hey...so did I.

Then again, I wore them during ballet class. ;)

QUOTE We got all kinds of sweatshirts, you can take your pick.

With the collars ripped off, like in that Flashdance flick.

Maybe you can take comfort in the reflection that legwarmers in Oregon were marginally less stupid than legwarmers in Southern California.

I dunno if she'll be paerodied, but J Lo is one of those people who i could see at least ahving their name mentioned in one line of a song. You can't sya no to saying "J Lo".

parodies

i can never tell with al. i mean, who would have predicted "grapefruit diet" from a song called "zoot suit riot?" there are some others where hes completely changed the title but it still fits with the original. i would like to see parodies of:

pink

the white stripes (fell in love with a squirrel still could happen...al likes squirrels)

eminem/nelly

weezer (hash pipe could be turned into "cat fight")

no doubt (just a nerd?)

sisqo (the thong song came out after RWS, but would he reach so far back?)

i imagine if i looked at some of the top 40 charts for 2000-2002 there would be a lot of good songs to parody. will he try to stick with just 2002 songs?

i do think there will be a polka. i can already hear nelly in a polka. maybe a surprise would be "livin' la vida polka?" sort of like bohemian polka? that would be great.

Whoa! May 20 is your last day of school? What day do you start? I start about Aug 25 and end June 7

Well...so much is obvious.

Eminem is the biggest thing since Al's last album. For him not to do an Eminem related song would shock me. Following Eminem, the more likley of the canidates would be

Linkin Park

Britney Spears

Sum 41

Good Charolete

50 Cent (if he gets that new on us)

Dave Matthews Band

I have to believe those are the biggest candidates. As a whole, the biggest band I believe since Weird Al's last album is U2, but they have not released a studio album since late 2000, and only a single (Electrical Storm) last year. If Al does reach back though, it's possible for him to do something along the lines of 'Beautiful Day'.

Another theory is that Al could do basically ANYTHING if he were to parady a classic song from the HOARDS of 'best of' CDs to come out the last few years. This would range from anything from Bjork to The Clash to Elvis to The Rolling Stones.

Either way...4 years coming...it BETTER be a good CD ^^;

I cant see eminem not being on the album in some way

that may make lots of non-al fans (which iss not very many) buy the album!!! :P

Creed Parody

I am seriously thinking that Creed may be a target on Poodle Hat. If you look at the song One Last Breath, it's a great song to make a parody of (probably about food) that you could see Al doing. Also, if you watch the video, perfect to make a parody of because you can imagine Al and the band in their place.
