[Central] The big speculation topic.
Ok. Here we can speculate about new parodies on the new album. Do it in this topic so it can be central without opening hundreds of topics

Well, here's one bit of cryptic info the good Bermuda has left us with. It was recently posted on alt.music.weird-al [aka AMWA, if you've not heard of it ...]
Here's the link if you want to see it first hand.
And here's the text, in case the link has screwed up [highlight is mine]:
Hmmmm ... maybe Coolio and Al DID make that Prince parody ...
... or maybe .... an audio or video single?? Woo-HOO, if so!
Comments? I yield to the floor. [Since the ceiling has nothing to say either.]

Closer to the album's release date, but probably not more than a day
or two before. With the exception of possibly two titles, you won't
really know what's what until you hear the songs anyway, but posting
titles much before the CD's out would only add confusion as to which
are originals, and which are parodies.
There's one particularly unexpected surprise though, but you still
wouldn't know by the title alone.

Just one favor, please. I enjoy speculation as much as, if not more then, the next fan and will participate freely. HOWEVER, I beg and plead that all *ACTUAL* information about the album (Other then the name and PatlLC) be kept off these forums UNLESS IT IS ALLREADY ON WEIRDAL.COM.
The best part about Al's albums is hearing the jokes for the first time on album. I personaly can't wait till MAy 20th. Hearing Al parody all those big band songs will be a blast...

I think it's going to be hard to keep any further actual information off the board. If you want to be totally surprised, you're probably better off staying away from any Al forum between now and May 20.
But it is a good time to remind people to put SPOLIER warnings in the Subject line of any post that may contain information not commonly known about the upcoming album and tour. This will help people like haroldwaide who want to try to avoid as much information as possible beforehand, but still want to participate in the forums.

Larry, is that true? I know you a WS fan like me but I came up with a song like that, and I must be a songwriting genius if I came up with a similar idea to Al'sWe do know this much. Al is doing a White Stripes parody called "Fell in Love with a Squirrel" - it is written from the perspective of a love-struck chipmunk

"Last year, the ministry of silly AL-bum names spent more on Poodle Hat than they did on Running With Scissors" <-- I bet three people at the most will truly get that
