Sorry to d-p, but I just thought...
He'd be GREAT in "Music & Lyrics"!!! Hugh Grant was amazingly funny, but Al could make his role funnier. (I can see him and Drew Barrymore singing "Way Back Into Love".)
Anyone agree??

Well, I adored "Music and Lyrics" - I love the music, and the movie as a whole - but while Al and Drew Barrymore singing "Way Back Into Love" could maybe happen, could you really see Al as the PoP! keyboardist? *tries to visualise Al in the white jumpsuit or ruffled shirt from the "Pop! Goes My Heart" video, and fails miserably*

Yeah, good point. Huh. Maybe I overthought this...Could you at least see him in some sort o' cameo? Like being the person in charge of the piano store where Hugh sings the hillariously bad "Love Autopsy" song? I could see him there...

Just so long as he wasn't the guy Drew Barrymore's character was seeing... that guy was a jerk. So not Al.
But a cameo somewhere would be fun - it would certainly have been hilarious to see him as a guest at Cora's party...

You mean Sloan Cates? Ugh, yeah. He's one of those guys that has such an effect on ya that every time he speaks, you just go "Ugh!" (Like Dr. Mcphee from Night at the Museum. "You. New night guard. Here. Now.") But yeah. A GUEST AT CORA"S PARTY...Now THERE"S an idea!!!!

He should totally have been Mambo in Happily N'ever After. The guy they did use sounded a lot like him, but not as refined or funny.

I think Al would have made a very fine Amos Hart in "Chicago".
(Before people tell me that Billy Flynn is the better-known male role in that movie, I think "Mister Cellophane" would be a better song for Al than "Razzle Dazzle" would be.)

Hey, ALPOTO. How about Al as the phantom?
You guys ever think Al reads all this and thinks "don't you guys have lives?"

That would be pretty...well...AMAZING.
I'm sure if Al looked at this, he would either fall out of his chair laughing hysterically or just hold a blank stare for a long time.

I haven't seen those other movies, so no comment. (well, I have seen POTO, but I'm not sure about Al playing that part--have you seen pics of Ruben wearing the phantom mask in concert? I think the ones I saw were from Bad Hair Day, but it may have been earlier--I forget)

Probably not
and thinks "don't you guys have lives?"
and my answer would be, "Yes, and you (your music, concerts, videos, etc., etc, etc.,) have been a fun part of it. Thank you!"

Would that be one of those "you've got to be kidding--are you nuts?" blank stares? hehe
