There's a volume adjustment on it, and that's what he was messing with. But finally he gave up and just pulled it out to listen live. It's better than not being able to hear anything.
So that's what it was. I just kept watching him trying to mess with it.

I got a couple pictures of Jim with the feather boa. I just gotta go through all of my pictures, which will take a while. I took a lot.

Great pics Kristine! It took me a minute to see "Fat" Al behind that second one. Very funny!

You California people sure know how to have fun! :D

I'm still recovering from my vacation and birthday, so I'll have much more to say later, but I did want to say thanks to Vikki and Melissa for driving me all over the place, taking me sightseeing, taking me to see the Al concerts, and giving me a place to sleep!

And thanks to Cid for organizing the beach adventure, and Helen for our lunch date and taking me to the Tattoo Museum. Great to see so many old friends and meet so many new ones!

I also spent a lot of time hanging out with my cousin. He's the guy who got me into Al's music, so it was a nice coincidence that I was out there for Al concerts, and exciting for me that I got to "reintroduce" him to Al's music. After the first show we went to together, he went straight home and bought tickets to the San Diego show.

I'll get my pictures and reviews up as soon as possible (you all know what that means. :P)

You're response was so great, I just had to answer it. :D LOL.

I'm glad that you've been dancing the chicken dance for a number of years. So have I.

I've also played bass for a number of years, so I know a little something about timing, and that song was being played at a much slower tempo than normal. It sounded like a funeral dirge, if you were paying attention.

BTW, isn't it a little silly that we're even having this discussion in the first place? I mean . . . its the chicken dance. . . who really cares? :F :D

I guess we do. :P

Well, I was paying attention, and it was fine as far as I was concerned. I'm a musician as well. Yes, he started it off unusually slow, but I think that was part of the joke. But it did speed up. At least when I heard it, it did. Just sounded like you were being nit-picky.

And yes, I do care.

^That's cool. What instrument do you play? or are you a vocalist?

In my experience, the hardest positions to fill in a band are vocalist and drummer.

I think its wonderful that Al has managed to keep the same band together for so many years-- especially given the constantly changing climate of the music industry. These days that seems like a rare thing.

The Costa Mesa shows were wonderful, its a shame the crowd wasn't more pumped up. Can't wait for next time! :Y

Pancreas, over and out. :whoot:
