I wonder if he has ever gone back and read one of the old fan letters. Or if he has his first one framed somewhere.

The letters may not have been moved from the garage. After all, I'm sure the house is Al's now. ;(

[MOD Edit: We don't joke about the death of Al's beloved parents around here. If you want to do it, you need to find another forum. Another crack like that and you won't be posting here ever again. I hope I make myself crystal clear.]

I'm glad I didn't have to see anything like that.

...anywho....

I have never written a letter to Al. Well, what I should say is I've never mailed a letter to Al. ;)
I write stuff all the time. But then I just sit on it, read it again and again, then just say "nah...not good enough!" and I toss it.
I just..hmm..
I owe Al my life! How do you put that into words without sound really creepy?

I'm very sorry, Scotti...I didn't mean it at all to be rude, but I don't want to be kicked off this forum, so I will never (and I mean it) joke about that ever again. I also apologize if I offended anyone else reading this.

well when he got married i did this group wedding card, i sent ppl in our touring group a page for them to put what they wanted and i put it in a scrapbook type, but nicer and mailed it along with some other nice bride and groom nicknacks, 2 yrs later at Alcon i asked if they ever got it, Suzanne described it, and Al apoligized that they never replied. I also sent last yr everyone(AL, band, Jay Levey) a 2lb choclate card from hershey, i mailed the guy that does the mail(yes i know who, no im not tellin) told him that there was going to be choclate coming could he make sure Al got it so it wouldnt melt, he still hasnt given it to him, though he says he would when the tour was over, i need to ask him again,

I send junk to Al from time to time.

When I saw Al at the Virgin Megastore for the Poodle Hat signing, he recognized me
(completely freaking out :oo my sister), and mentioned that while he was moving boxes at his house he'd found the congratulations card I'd created for Nina's birth. He very kindly thanked me for it, shook his head and said it was "just so sweet".
Awwww.... :inlove:

Apparently, he didn't find it at his home until September, and I'd mailed it in late February, so one can ever be certain about these things.

I knew we had another topic about Fan Mail to Al. So I merged them.

Hey all

I just had to brag because the other day I got an autographed picture of AL! :D :P
He's wearing a nice striped T-Shirt, got a soft expression and gorgeous hair along with a signature in the top left hand corner.

Ahhhhhhhh - i was jumping up and down for a while there.

The framed picture now sits apon my tv where i can gaze at him all day - ahhhhhhhhhh.

Alberta - bragging proudly :D

Hmm sounds like you got the publicity photo from RWS. Are you sure it's not a long-sleeved shirt? I have that pic, too. It's black and white, right? Mine is proudly displayed on my refirigerator.

:D
