Me too! It was on Much or Much More Music, eh? Al was talking about how Arnold Schwarzenegebooger (however you spell it) played a cold, ruthless bloodthirsty killer in the Terminator, which made him a perfect candidate for governor of California. Or something like that.

PS You're canadian! Yessss! Canooks rule! *can't believe she didn't notice before*

Sorry if it was in the wrong topic, I may have many posts on here but notice it's manly in the games. Well I'm a WWE fan first, hockey second. Hockey night at my house, yikes. Dad likes Red Wings, Bro-in-law likes Montreal, Cousin likes Calgary. Woah! Am I ever off topic lol. Ok, well since I saw Al on tv I wasn't sure where I was 'spose to post it. Sorry if by doing so I have destroyed any lives. :S But then again, I AM 'spose to be being "evil" for the week. So wah-ha-haaa!!!!!

I regard this as a semi-unexpected Al encounter.

During the Bad Hair Tour, Al arrived a day (or two) early in Asheville, NC and he gave a great radio "interview" on WZLS.
About halfway through it, partial reality returned to my star-struck brain: "Hey, the radio studio is a mere 10 minute drive from where I live!"

You know I've never been in a real studio before, and I gotta tell you it was really great.
I mean, I was expecting locked doors, security guards, hoards of out-of-their-mind-fans (exactly like me) and I braced myself to beg and plead against the "big brush-off" in order to get my Compleat Al promotional poster autographed.
Boy was I ever wrong about that.

"Hi! Come on in! Hang out! Meet Al! (please be respectful when we're live on the air)." was the type of reception I received.

In awe, I was in presence of the great weird one for over an hour.

During one of the commercial breaks, when Al and the DJ decided to cue up TNSWC, I chimed in: "Extra gory version!". It was subtle, but I could tell that AL liked that prospect. Alas, there wasn't a copy of TNSWC:EGV available at the time.
A lesson learned: If you're going to meet Al during a live broadcast, bring your alternate cuts and cd singles and rarities and the like.

Wow! That sounds awesome, tessaigapants. =D We used to live down the street from a radio station but, unfortunately, it shut down years ago. :<

Man, if I had an unexpected Al encounter, I'd... I dunno. XD I would likely lose all ability to speak and/or stand. But, HEY. If I could get someone to carry me over there and if Al can read lips, I'd be set!

=P

WZLS has also been shut down. The story plays out a little like UHF, except that the greedy suits won. :(

Yea, I had difficulty being coherent and functional during the experience.

Ah well, at least you have this awesome memory there. ^_^

Wow, that is a very cool story, tessaigapants! I've met Al twice, but have never had an unexpected Al encounter. I was relatively calm for the ones I was "prepared" for, but I think I wouldn't be quite so calm if it were a surprise.
