I will be posting a "short list" of photos soon. I don't want to put a ton up- I'll just pick out the very best ones.

Thanks Diva! I'm glad you liked my brownies! I'll make them for you anytime. Last night's concert sounds a bit better than mine but I have no regrets whatsoever. I can't wait to see more pictures, and mine will be up, one of these days...

I have one ticket for tonight's show (Thursday 7/19) at OC Fair available. I hope somebody can help...and I can help somebody! It is the 7th row seat 5 in the center section. My husband ended up not being able to go with us at the last minute, and I can't seem to find any other friends/family available to fill the seat on short notice (so it's just three of us now). I'm just asking the price I paid not including any service fees of $19.99.............
Update 4:18pm 7/19 - The extra ticket has been claimed....thanks, Carlotta! See you at the show!

I'm cross-posting this in both the OCF thread and the Rock Hall thread not to be annoying, but rather because I want to make sure nobody volunteering with the Rock Hall petition for the fair (and is still on the forum this weekend, of course) misses this call for help.
The TMZ web site had been producing a story on the Rock Hall campaign for the last week or so, and I got a call during the day Thursday that they were interested in bringing a camera crew to the fair to tape footage for a new show they're producing (which would be similar to the web site, so I guess a sort of "celebrity news and gossip" type of show). The producer I had been speaking with had erroneously assumed that I was going to be at the fair this week myself, and she had wanted to set up a time with me for her crew to arrive. I politely left a message on her voice mail to correct her on the situation, offering instead to pass along her contact information to one of the volunteers working the fair to hopefully set up a day and time to meet, that is if she was still interested at that point.
I have yet to hear back from her, and I have no guarantee that anything will in fact happen, but nevertheless I would like to be prepared. Is any petition volunteer who will be at the fair either Friday or Saturday willing to be the local contact for this producer? Pretty much all one would need to do is contact this person (and I'll provide her phone number and e-mail address) in order to arrange a time for her crew to be there to tape the petition goings-on. Again, this is all assuming that she's still interested, and it annoys me that it's coming down to the proverbial last minute like this, but I would like to have someone at the ready just so I can pass along the contact info as soon as I get the okay from this producer.
If anyone's interested, please PM or e-mail me. Nobody's under any obligation to do this, so it's cool either way.
Regardless, enjoy the rest of the fair, and happy petitioning!

Thursday's highlights:
1. Uh-oh: Al might sue someone in the OC Fair sound system-. His mic wasn't working for the first line of "I'll sue ya".
2. Storm Troopers and Darth Vader again, and getting down, baby!
3. A litany of berry muffins in Albuquerque, including blueberry, raspberry, gooseberry and Halle Berry.
I'll save the best highlight for a separate post...
Cheers, Diva

Another fine, fine show by Al and the guys. It was a "Bob" night. And the Imperial storm troopers and Mr. Vader made a return appearance!
I was way off on the outside aisle on Steve's side, and unfortunately one of the lights near the drum kit kept catching me straight in the eyes during some of the more boisterously lighted numbers. This sometimes made for an interesting effect... once when Al did a bit of eh, thrusting at the mic, every time he moved I got hit with a blinding white light that appeared to be emanating from his groin.
I never get tired of that Black Dog section of TITDT when the band appears out of nowhere, rocks HARD and then vanishes again.
Jim has been coming in lately for a bit of comic byplay... he takes a blistering guitar solo and then flubs it up, looking apologetic, while Al spirals down from admiring to disappointed and disgusted. I am much happier, I think, seeing Jim be the butt of that kind of thing because anyone who knows anything about Al & his band knows full well that Al holds him in the highest esteem, and it's just a joke, folks!
Al changed up the encore! He came out screaming "Are you ready to rock!?!" and after he had us all charged up again, launched into "Close To You"-- a very straight-ahead, no-jokingversion, with backup harmonies and everything. It was actually quite sweet, I like Balladeer Al, but in context it was just hilarious. And then came Albuquerque. The Donuts 'N" Weasles Shop has added a lot of new items to its sold-out menu: blueberry donuts, raspberry donuts, strawberry donuts, gooseberry donuts... and Halle Berry donuts. Is that related to the olallieberry or the marionberry?
And tonight Zelda called him "Sugar Tarantula." That would make me leave the house too!
It's lookin' like there might not be anything interesting happening aftershow for the passless this time round, but as Elvis said, it's not included in the price of the ticket. Oh well, at least there will always be funnel cakes.

My real highlight of the evening: Al in his red WBUL suit, gazing into my eyes, takes my left hand and asks me, "Anyone ever told you, you got Yugoslavian hands? No, of course no, that would be stupid, let's forget I ever brought it up."

*AIH*
Greg had this "I know you really love me, but do you HAVE to be quite that elated?" look on his face. He now understands whi I am insisting that his daughter Maggie have the seat closest to the aisle on Saturday.
In any case, this marks my 227th WOWAY post too.
Cheers, Diva
who will nonetheless wash her left hand again because jeez, you know, I shake a lot of hands during the day
