I just want to mention that it really annoys me that recording artists have so little control over the release and publication of their work.

Yeah, me too. Hopefully Al negotiated more control in his latest contract.

I don't think he did since this came out after his contract. If he had he probably would have added a lot more stuff. :xmas:

Well, I just got TUVC in the mail a few days ago, and I really like this DVD a lot!

The only problem I have is that...I dunno about you guys, but I see compression artifacts all over the picture. Just...eeech.

What kind of DVD player?

It's a JVC, and it plays very well. I never see any compression artifacts, ever. Meaning TUVC was probably either highly compressed, or the master tapes that these music videos were taken from weren't very good.

I don't see compression artifacts on every video. The ones that they're extremely apparent in are Fat, Amish Paradise, Ricky, I Love Rocky Road, and a few others. I can't see any in Pentiums, Saga, Nirvana, or Bob.

I wonder if anyone else noticed them?

If I knew what compression artifacts look like, I could probably answer your question.

My copy looks great. But I can't say I've watched it from beginning to end. Mostly just my favorites. I hope I can't wear IAATP out...

It's hard to describe compression artefacts without going to look it up. Since I'm so lazy, I'll just tell you that it's anything that kinda "sticks out" or doesn't look natural.

Are they like gigantic pixels?

Cause if they are then I just notice it on my laptop. Not my TV.
