How many people here have actually got a letter back and how long does it take?
You mean a letter from CPFOA? I got one back in 10 months. It announced the upcoming Poodle Hat tour, about a week after the tour wrapped up for this year in the US. :yell:

I suspect, though, that if you don't include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your letter, you will be measuring the time until a reply arrives by means of tree growth rings. :nervous:
Ah, so that's my problem. I didn't include a self-addressed stamped envelope!

Yeah, I believe that CPFOA is actually funded by Volcano. And we know how notable for their open-hearted generosity record labels are... :sarcasm:

I got a letter from the CPFOA today!
I had a nice, autographed pic and that painfully out of date letter, even though it is funny.
Sarley- Is it a new press photo or a shot from circa RWS?

the website address for CPFOA is

http://www.weirdal.com/corresp.htm#cpfoa

you need to go to the FAQ section of the site to get there but it's still there!

ps. it hasn't been updated for a while since it mentions the RWS tour so yeah...

Fortunately web page updates are completely outside the ambit of the glacier. Bermuda's usually pretty quick to make updates and keep info accurate. I'm sure once someone brings this to his attention, it will be fixed immediately.

Wow! I'm sure Volcano won't even provide a stamp and an envelope! Maybe I can hope to get my letter back in the year 2727. Oh well.

It seems to me it took about 6 months, but that was back in the mid-

nineties, and I didn't ask for an autograph or photo.

People should note that the "letter" is not something personal from Al, but a standard form letter talking about upcoming projects, merchandise, etc.

(When I was at the Virgin signing in May, Al thanked me for something I'd sent him several months earlier, but mentioned that he didn't find it until he was moving some other boxes recently and found a box of fan mail he

hadn't read.)
