World of Weird Al Yankovic

The Madonna wtf do you think you’re doing mp3 is popular now. I saw a site that had about 15 remix of it. People have put it to all kinds of music.

With the weird al songs it could be someone messing with us. It could be a publicity stunt. Who knows.

I hope not, because it would be a lot more like Christmas when we get the album. Besides, sometimes the titles don't make sense until we're listening to the songs.



I admire the fact that Al and his reps have kept such a tight lid on the track list so far.

mmmmmmmmmmmm....... Maybe Al posted the MP3 files on kazza himself but without any sound to pull our chains.

Madonna apparently did that with songs from her new album, recently. Except when the user downloaded the file, instead of nothing they heard Madonna herself saying "What the [bleep!] do you think you're doing?!?"

I seem to recall a year or two ago when Barenaked Ladies' album Stunt first came out, I read in an online article that people tried to download a "special long version" of "Pinch Me" [something like 6 minutes long], back before Napster and Audiogalaxy's doors closed. Anyhoo, when folks finally downloaded the song, you heard the start of the real "Pinch Me" for about 15 seconds ... then BNL interrupted the song, saying something like, "Hi, we're BNL and we think file sharing is evil", and proceeded to play 15 seconds of real music, then 30 seconds of them yakking about anything or farting or total nonsense. I roared when I read that; what a way to make your point! :biggrin:



And although Al and BNL have a mutual admiration society, Bermuda has confirmed here that he and Al have nothing to do with the so-called track list floating about! Just wait 17 more days, folks! Although I'm loving all the wild speculation -- and I know Bermuda is too!
