TM offered a seat in the middle of Section 1 (house left) when I checked.

Thanks Kristine! I was just checking because I know how he goes through the aisles and those might be good seats to get some WBUL action. Can't wait for my first Al concert!

I think you'll really enjoy it, ALPOTO. There's nothing like the memory of a first Al concert...... Even my dad, who isn't a huge Al fan but still likes him, lists the first Al concert he saw (also the first one I saw) as one of the best nights of his life.

I'm sure I'll enjoy it with my friend. Since she isn't on here, I keep telling her songs that he'll do and she gets pumped up. She's not a huge fan like we are, but she's into him and that kind of humor. She's especially excited that he does Albuquerque at the end, I hope he keeps that in.

Does anyone know if there is there a backstage at the OC Fair? I'm asking because I heard that Al usually doesn't do meet and greets at fairs, but am not sure about what that means for what goes on backstage.

There's no "backstage" there- it's a few EZ-Ups. That's it. They usually make their way (fairly quickly) to the tour bus.

I'll go back there to see if I can get a glance of Al or TBitB before they leave on their way to the bus. I won't get my hopes up, but it would be nice to just see them. I still can't wait to meet my fellow WOWAYers.

A good chunk of us already have our seats, but they sent out an email saying they just released more reserved seating to buy. :)

There is a makeshift backstage there, but unless you have a pass, you can't go in. Al sometimes chooses one of the OC Fair nights to sign autographs, and when that happens they set up a table for him to sit at off to the side of the stage and you get in line to see him. You just have to take the time to wait around for a while after the concert is over.

I don't remember ever seeing a tour bus there, because that location is close enough for them to all go home at night (though I never searched around for one), but the stage equipment vehicles would still be there.

They just released more reserved tickets for the OC Fair shows. They still have the free seats but for $19.99 you don't to wait in the sun all day.
