And Miss Janine? You and I are apparently in the final stages of AL obsession. But I can live with that.
And it's a lovely place to be. *drools*
New look in spandex! Oh, be still, my beating heart.

Yup, that was on Episode 3603 ["Bad Influence"], which incidentally was the premiere episode of TWAS on September 13, 1997. ["At Pizza Quick, your pie comes right out of the oven and goes right out the door. No boxes, no putting it in boxes, NO BOXES!"] It could be filler, much like the "Educational Films" were on the "Weird Al Live!" DVD, but I think there are other better and more likely candidates for inclusion.PizzaQuick (is that TWAS?)
Now, THIS is my vote for most hoped for inclusion. "60 Percent Chance Of Rain" [from TWAS Ep#3611] is one funny movie promo spoof! And a big favorite on the big video screen in concerts. But is it a video?? Al might not include it for this reason alone. But I for one would LOVE to see it. I especially want to read the credits at the end -- the few I can make out on my slightly fuzzy VHS copy are hysterical too!!!60% COR
*snickers* They probably wouldn't be a part of the DVD, unless good old Al wants them in for Fred's memorable song performances ... "Water Is Wet" [Ep#3603] and "I Like You" [Ep#3604], specifically. Also, then if those were included, would they have to put in other ones like "Cheese" [Ep#3602], "The Kitty Song" [Ep#3613], or any of the songs from the "Because I Said So" episode [#3607], where Al sings almost EVERYTHING in the show?? ["I quit, I quit, I QUIIIIIIIT!!!"].Fred Huggins (First I'll start by taking off these big shoozy-woozies...)
I'd say these are the most likely ones -- after all, this *IS* a video collection, and those ARE two videos made exclusively for the show. They may or may not require permission from Dick Clark Productions, if Al made these himself on his own time. He may need permissions from Aerosmith and Los Lobos/the estate of Ritchie Valens for them as well -- but he got permission for the song, and I don't think they'd pull an Eminem and deny permission for the video. But since they were broadcast on national television once before, maybe these permissions were already given. The one I'd worry about not seeing is "Lousy Haircut", since it was never on an album -- but was that because Prodigy denied permission for a full song, or is it because Al felt a full song about a lousy haircut might wear thin after only a few lines?? Here again, though, Prodigy likely had to give permission in 1997 since the snippet video was in fact broadcast on national television. So --- we'll just hafta see ....LITF/ Lasagna
Now, that would be cool. But then again, if he includes BNL, wouldn't he have to also include the performances of Radish, All4One, Immature, Buford [aka Charles Fleischer], and even ... brrrrr ... Hanson??Musical Guests? BNL specifically
Mmmph... Well, again, much as I'd like to see 'em, these aren't likely to make it onto a "video collection" DVD.A medley of Harvey's greatest moments

Actually, the version of La Bamba that Al parodied was by Los Del Rio, not Los Lobos. But I don't think he'd need permission from Los Del Rio either, just Ritchie Valens (is he dead? Okay, then, his estate!).He may need permissions from Aerosmith and Los Lobos/the estate of Ritchie Valens for them as well
I don't think Al ever got *permission* for those to be on TWAS (not that he would need to anyway). If you look at ALTV (doctored videos, "Chipmunk" videos, interviews) and ALMusic (GE&H specifically), apparently he doesn't feel he needs to get permission to spoof someone on TV or in concert. He only gets permission when the song/video is being released and available to buy.But since they were broadcast on national television once before, maybe these permissions were already given.
