Heehee, I can imagine someone just standing there, trying to squeak out a hello, but all they can manage to do is just hold their arms open and hope he goes with it.

Oh wait, no, I'm just imagining how it'll go when I first meet him.

I've had him give me hugs all on his own, to my complete and total surprise. The first time was because I was at AlCon and doing the hyperactive, being a complete idiot and not able to form words things, so Al gave me a hug. Ah, that was 6 years ago. I still can't believe I did that.

it really wouldnt freak him out if i hugged him? good, cause i thought if i did he'd call security on me...

my friend would probably pull me away.. she thinks im a freak :] but i bet she'd want to..

Awh, you lucky thing...he's only about 4 or 5 inches taller than me, so I wouldn't get that whole 'bear hug' effect.....

i bet Al gives the best hugs... maybe even good enough to make me not nervous, though i think a hug from Al would make me more nervous!

i'll have to remember to hug him right before i leave so i can go faint in the car.

I can't say I've ever actually noticed that, but the answer probably is: he smells like whatever he uses in the shower, because that's usually where he's been right before meeting after-concert fans. I mean, wouldn't YOU take a shower if you'd been accordion-hoisting and dancing and jumping like a maniac for two hours, not to mention a stint in the Fat suit?
