Just got back from a search at amazon.com. I searched under: weird al poodle hat

The results I got? The Videos, The Video Library, The Compleat Al and The Andromeda Strain. :dontgetit:
I tried that same search and Amazon refused to show me anything at all. So I tried just "weird al" and among the things I got was
See "weird al" on Page 2 of Aroma Crystal Therapy Ltd Vibrational Medicine - 2002 mail-order catalog -- Homeopathic

But that link proved to mention, not Al (gotta use up all these commas somehow while they're fresh!), but his apparently-previously-unknown relative, Weird Rash. :dontgetit:

Did somebody in The Andromeda Strain have a weird rash?

Doing some research at the Way Back Machine.

Checked out the old wa.com pages. It seems torturing fans with a slooooooow dribble of information is nuttin' new. They were teasing with info about RWS a year before it's release too.

Al is raising up an army of very very patient fans. For his inevitable quest to take over the world, no doubt...

*Vote*

Alfred M. Yankovic. The Year 2727 A.L.

You have heard him on the radio on classical music stations, you have seen his concerts performed on VH1 Land, and now announcing his campaign as Funny Man of the United World Of Milky Wayia.

T.I.M.E.S. Magazine says: "He may be in an iron lung, he may use his accordion to talk, but this is one age preserved politician, you don't wanna miss!"

CNNY NEWS:

"People throughout the nation are saying: "WE WANT AL!!! WE WANT AL!!!'"

FOXY NEWS:

"The Planet was shocked today as Weird Al fans stormed into the whitehouse, kicked President Washington XXIV out of office, and sat Al's iron lung in the sqaure office."

Polls ALready have it, Al is ahead in the race at 15 Billion votes in his favor.

Just a little "futuristic" humor for ALl you Al fans!

Ok. Here we can speculate about new parodies on the new album. Do it in this topic so it can be central without opening hundreds of topics :)
Okay here are my predictions for the bands that AL will parody.

Eminem (w/ a music Video)
Good Charlotte (w/ music video)
Avril Lavigne
Linkin Park
Dave Matthews

I think if theres a style parody i tihnk it will be of Radiohead. (BTW..radiohead rocks!)

Avril Lavigne PLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEEEE!!! I"m also expecting it.

And, I'm 95% sure that Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" will appear in any form on Al's new ALbum.

<Scottidog trying to remember if Al addressed this in Ask Al...>

Seems like Al said that he doesn't do too many parodies of songs done by females. I know there have been a few, but I'd say they'd be more likely to show up on a Polka Medley.

Avril - flash in the pan, I'm really punk. Really! I am! I am too!!!! - Lavigne? Never heard of her. :sarcasm:

I wouldn't be surprised if there were some visual reference to the downward spiral of skankiness (not just CA...) in one of Al's videos. But I would be surprised if he tried to do one of their songs.

Of course, Al has already parodied Britney (probably before she was even born...) http://www.weirdal.com/alsnake.htm

~starts going blank on a lot of current musicians mentioned~

I'm so bad. I barely pay attention to pop culture. Oy vey.

I know what I'll do. I'll listen to the parodies first, then go find out what the originals of the song were like.

Sounds like a plan to me.

Hahahaha! So true! Your right about this whole downword spiral of skankiness though. the only REALLY cool female singer is Bjork, (who I think may be in a polka medley) and she is FAR from a skank and sings 1000 times better than any of those other "girls" (im not exactly sure what they are with all that plastic and cosmetic surgery.)

If Al does do a parody of Avril, christina, or britney, he will put them all to shame with his much better singing.

The swan dress girl?

I've never heard her sing, but her fashion sense seems to be Yankovic compatible... This is a girl with an obvious sense of humor.

I certainly hope so. Maybe two? By my calculations, Al owes us one. :satisfied:
