I think every one in this forum could admit to that! Thank God for the 80's!

My story's slightly different- I used to be a total crowd follower, observing every trend and phase that passed through my age group. I listened to Britney Spears! But then when I heard Al for my first time, it struck me that I was born to stand out. I joined the forum, started wearing toe socks and antennae everywhere I went, and the rest is history!

I listened to Britney Spears

OMG!

We forgive you :P

The good thing about als parodys is that you can still like 'pop' music but its just with better lyrics.

What can I say, I was young and easily mislead by all things blonde and ditzy.

Yeah. So at least I am vaguely familiar with the songs played at parties and stuff, even if I scare everybody else away by screaming out the alternate lyrics at the top of my lungs.....

*Al walks up to Billy Joel*
Al: Hey Billy me boy, can I do a song parody on one of your songs on how badly you suck and how repetative your music is? I assure you it's really funny.

It's Still Billy Joel to Me was Al's only real diss right? Characters like Eminem's songs are called disses when they do a parody or write a song about someone else. Al hasn't ever seemed to be much of a diss type to me.

I cant see why artists wouldnt love al to parody their stuff! Man, even Kurt was VERY happy to let al do it.

Michael jackson lent him his set!

Well, SLN was kind of a diss, but not a mean spirited one.

Well, "Achy Breaky Song" and "This Song Is Just (Six Words Long)" would seem to qualify, as far as I can tell.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Six Words is a diss? I never interpreted it to be about anyone in particular. Unless it was about how people perceive what Al does. You know, he doesn't do anything original, he just changes a few words here and there...
