I mean, those of us who are Rabid Wolverines, would buy a video of Al standing on his head reading the phone book. (Which might actually be funny.) We would watch him paint his bathroom, or clip his toenails.
I know I would. Never such a thing as too much Al.
But...Too bad it's marketed for the casual Al fans who look and go, "Hey, it's Weird Al. Cool." and pick up the item.
While us hardcore fans go, "Oh! A new Al item! :wow:" and sit outside the store several hours before it opens to be the first to get your hands on it.
My marketing class may be trying to teach me something, but they haven't reached the Al part of my brain.

Trust me, your marketing class could learn a thing or 27 from Al.

No kidding.
I can't wait for the Entrepreneurship section...We get to create our own business.
I think for an assignment we had to write a short thing on a mass-marketed item, that can have the same advertising anywhere...
I wrote it on Twinkies.

Another payday... Another WAY safari...
I was hoping to order WAY Live, but unfortunately Sam Goody's was unable to. Grrr...
So I had them order Polka Party, In 3-D and UHF - Soundtrack and other stuff. That just leaves The TV ALbum. And I can get that one later. Now I really am going to be desperate for P@TLC. I don't know how those of you who already have everything have waited so long between ALbums. But something's gonna have to happen soon, don't you think? Bermuda posted the news about being in studio on June 4th. You OC people, think hard now, did he say anything then?
Looks like the DVDs are gonna be harder to get. I wish I had a decent record store nearby. (Do they call them record stores anymore? Too old, I'm just too old...)
And the salesgirl didn't look at me like I was crazy at all. I'm sure she waited til I was gone to laugh.

WAY live is on order now. You are right CD, the Videos are officially out of print. Hmm... I will not be deterred. Someday the Videos will be mine!
Ok, next on the list of things that I am required to have as a Weird Al fan...
The Weird Al Anthology! Anyone have it? I'm hoping it has tons and tons of pics!

Well there will be another Al related item available next month. Desperation Blvd. will be released on DVD. Al has a cameo. We gotta get him out of cameos and back into a starring role.

Mike, I like the way you think. But I will take even cameo's if that's all I can get. A tiny glimpse of the man is better than nothing at all. A new ALbum would be Way Moby. Soon. It's gotta be soon.

If by the "Weird Al Anthology" you mean "The Authorized Al", the semi-autobiographical book by Al and Tino Insana, then "Yes, I have it"! [I also have "WAY: The Videos".]
It not only has "tons and tons of pics", it has lyrics, funny stories, and tons and tons and
TONS of pics!! It is certainly worth
any Al fan owning.
But
where to get it?? Same place I got mine, and where most people got theirs ---
www.eBay.com !!
"Videos" currently goes for between $30 and $70, and a good quality copy of "Authorized Al" will generally set you back
$60 to $125 !! So, bring your checkbook and a big sack o' cash!
Happy hunting, Scotti!!

Well, yes of course I want the Authorized Al. But I may have to win the lottery first. Not to mention that I also want Peter And The Wolf...
But the Weird Al Anthology is actually a songbook. You know, like sheet music of Weird Al Stuff.

Speaking of neato Weird Al stuff from Ebay... has Princess Yankovic shared with y'all her most recent acquisition?
<Scottidog will let her tell it. It is unbelievably cool.>
