All my deep dark secrets are being revealed... at least the ones that have to do with which topics I've been reallllly slow about reading.

Now, the "Book of Lists for Teens?" I couldn't say I wasn't confused by THAT one, Al...

(Even the description was conflicting...it said the reading level was AGES 4-8...but I don't think a 4 year old would get much out of it...

)
I know this topic died ages ago but the Wish List thing I only just discovered. Did everyone already figure out that this list is probably why the book is on his wish list? - "The 17 Greatest Weird Al Songs of All Time"
Some of the stuff on Al's wish list has Al referenced or actually in it

Is the cpfoa-page on weridal.com a "secret" hidden page or something?
I can´t find any link to it from the frontpage and the page menu on top ?
i only heard of it when i read the newbie faq.

Go the the FAQ at the mothership. Towards the bottom of the page, there's a question about how to get an autograph from it and there's a link to the cpfoa page there.

How many people here have actually got a letter back and how long does it take?
This isn't really an answer, because I didn't send a letter to CPFOA.
When I gave Al the nesting dolls back during the second year of Poodle Hat - 2004 whenever they ccame to Cincinnati - I think August - He sent a thank you note that I received right around my birthday - September.
Oh, a year later!
It was on his personal cardstock stationery that simply said:
Al Yankovic
There was with no return address, either in side or on the envelope, of course, and it was postmarked "Hollywood, CA" .
Somewhere in the body of the handwritten note he made reference to receiving them "a million years ago".
After reading through this topic, I see that 13 months is on the short end! I feel very special!

We've been waiting well over a year...BUT he's been pretty busy making a CD, releasing it, and going on tour.
We hope he catches up to the mail when his life settles back down a little.

I've just been trying to muster up the courage to mail him a letter period. I might get him a birthday card.

I sent him a fan letter at the beginning of August. It was really stupid, I can't believe I actually sent it.
