What if Al releases the CD ENTIRELY of all concert-only songs? Or maybe the polka is made up of all his concert-only songs? Fast Food, Free Delivery, Laundry Day, Gee I'm A Nerd, Green Eggs & Ham, Chicken Pot Pie? I can't wait much longer!

Yeah, that'd be cool, but unfortunately there are two big reasons why a concert-only song is such:
1. Al didn't think the idea was strong enough for a full-length song
2. The artist/songwriter didn't give Al the okay to release a parody
I'm not sure which reason comes up more often, but that second reason would probably mean we won't see a lot of those songs on an album.
And also even if hypothetically it could be done, since the concert-only songs are parodies, it would be a situation similar to Al putting together "The Food Album." Al would have a certain limit on the number of parodies he can release on one album before he starts losing his own profits due to royalties. So we would get maybe only a ten-track album.
So, we probably would never see an "All the Concert Songs" album.
That's my guess. I think his reputation can stand the strain if he does one love song that doesn't leave the woman in question secretly wishing that he hadn't gone to all that trouble just for her. :sarcasm:
What about Airline Amy? I always though that was kind of a serious but happy song.

Perhaps that's why the song is never listed in any of the top ten (or even 20) of Al's songs. I think he has sung some serious Christmas carols on TV way back when, and Al's voice is certainly strong enough to carry any song he wanted, but I think he should stick to demented songs.
Of course "We all have cell phones" was a pretty serious song

Well, I don't know about Celine Dion, but I heard somewhere that Alanis Morrisette is a fan of Al. And we know Offspring and U2 are cool (although I think it was Dr. Seuss' estate that said no to GE&H). As for Paul McCartney, he only objected to CPP because he's a vegan, but he has said that he appreciates Al's work, so a green-light for "Nerd" is a possibility.
I have always thought a medley of short parodies would be a fun thing for Al to do on an album. He used to do it in concert all the time ("The Food Medley") back in the 80's, and Al's idol Allan Sherman used to do a similar thing on his albums back in the 60's (except he would parody snippets of more traditional folk songs). I guess getting permissions would be a chore, but it wouldn't be any different from getting permission to do all those songs in the polkas he usually does. I would definitely forego a polka for a parody medley this one time.
So many possibilities... so little info... hehe. Any moderate info fans around here that don't know much? Since bermie said that moderate al fans should get it quickly if we can get some moderate al fans then we should get every conception they have about al and then we can try to get something from that. Hey, it could work... or not.
I actually found myself watching Access Hollywood's thing tonight on the ten most outrageous music stars just to see how many of the ten Al has skewered. They were:
1. Madonna
2. Courtney Love
3. Whitney Houston/Bobby Brown (I guess each one is only half-outrageous alone)
4. Eminem
5 Christina Aguilera
6. Snoop Dogg
7. Marilyn Manson
8. Little Kim
9. Tommy Lee
10 Sean (Whatever) Coombs.
As far as I know, three of them (Madonna, Marilyn and P. Diddy) have had a brush with Al. So far.
As of May 20, do you think the list will be longer?
