did anyone notice that when Al was being interviewed for the Pre-show that he was wearing a wristband? It was like one a fan gets, like he was there as a fan lol. I love when Al does that

Actually I noticed that all the employees at the venue were wearing wristbands too. I think Al had to wear it to get in. I know this is strange to believe. It makes me shudder to think it...but there are actually people out in this world (or working at the Shrine) that don't know who Al is. *shudders*
On that same note. We were having such a hard time hearing that someone would be introduced, or announced as a winner and we'd all be saying "who?" I also must admit that there were people there that I had certainly never heard of or seen before.

Did you yell loud enough for Al to hear you when he was on stage?

I loved Al on the AMA's! He was so funny! I think I remember hearing that Al and Jimmy Kimmel are friends, so no one should take offense to the comment about everyone being a winner except Weird Al. I definately think they should have given Al more screen time. I had really been hoping that Al would be an actual presenter, because I thought maybe he'd do the type of thing he did at the My VH1 Awards. Oh, well. I'm just happy he got the chance to be on the show!

Oh gosh I tried!!!
It got quiet, but I don't think I waited until it was quiet enough. I screamed at the top of my lungs "We love you Al", in fact I think he was just begining to speak when I did it. People in my section heard me, but that was it. Fred was sitting on the opposite side of the venue from me and she didn't hear me.

I know Al didn't hear me...then again I could barely hear him too.

Oh well maybe I'll get another chance in the future.

That's what I was wondering. That kind of comment coming from someone you know is different than "He not necessarily my cup of tea."

HA! I

all the photos! I will gaze endlessly at them until I find some new ones! Even to a non-al-fan, Al was definatley the best presenter-most of the others just said "Hi, I'm ------ and this very talented band is ------" but our boy, as always, went WAY OTT!!!!
I thought it was funny when those two teenage rapper guys came out, and the first one gave a really long speech in that "secret rapper language" and then the other one leaned down to the mike and said "yeah!" and that was it!

Well, Eminem recently recorded a series of prank calls for Kimmel's show, "Crank Yankers." So, maybe Em asked Kimmel to dis Al on the show.
(No, I don't really think that's why he said it!)

I dident really take it bad when Jimmy said that comment because they showed Al laughing and knew if he dident take it wrong way then why should I. I loved Al on the show I think he should have been on more, or at least showed him more.
I just happy whenever he's on tv.

Well hey, at least Jimmy mentioned him! I think that Jimmy has a deep phsychiatric problem, where the only way he can express admiration for somebody is by slagging them off. I mean, he dissed everybody who was anybody, and Al was his first victim! It should be considered an honor!
