It's been my mission for a while to take a cross-country trip and go to the O.C. Fair shows. There are many logistics I'll have to work out first (such as where the heck I would stay), but I would really love to make this work. Are there any cheap (but not too sleazy) hotels/motels in the area? I'd probably also have to figure out where to get the cheapest airfare. How much are tickets for this usually?

Check into Travelodge or Holiday Inn Express. Both are pretty cheap and have decent accomodations.

I will definitely do that. I'm planning on asking for money for my birthday so that I can go to as many shows as possible. I really want to make this happen.

I'm seriously considering the OC Fair this time too. Especially if I can convince someone to let me crash at their place for a couple nights. |)

It's kind of disappointing that the OC Fair is happening about a month or two before I move back to Los Angeles for good. Otherwise, I'd be happy to host a mini-WOWAY convention at my apartment for all you guys who are looking for a place to stay. Oh well... 2008...

I hope I can make this. I want to plan a holiday in LA from mid july to end of july. If so, I'll be definitely there too... :whoot: . I hope I can hire someone from you as a ocf guide then....:P

Dave, you'll always have an option to stay at my place if you need it! Not to mention I have a couch, bunk and trundle bed if anyone else needs to crash for a night or two. (As long as you aren't allergic to cats).

haha, Mini Woway convention... LOL. That would have been fun. TOGA! TOGA! .... uh, nevermind.

Party at Melissa's!! (Since you live like 10 min from me.... lol)

Since this area is pretty tourist-y, there are many hotels and motels in the area.

I would recommend, if you're flying, try to fly in to John Wayne Airport, not LAX. LAX is further north and in the LA county, not Orange (duh). John Wayne is just north of Costa Mesa (the city the Fair is in). Plus, I like JW better anyways- it's nice, and less crowded generally.

I am definitely planning on this. I've been to OC the past two times, so I have to keep going as I love it everytime I go.

I might even be able to convince my cousin from San Francisco to come as he wants to know the next time I'll be in CA and he wants to see Al.

Work might want to kill me when I come back as I'll also be asking for time off 3 weeks after that for something non Al related. They can live with it. I'm only part time.
