QUOTE Please don't judge The Poodle Hat Tour by the Kelseyville show. The other shows I saw were full two hour shows and complete with costume changes and video.
Our room was very close to the ampitheater, so my hubby help me carry
some blankets from our room into the venue for the poor freezing masses. He ended up watching a bit of the show from cheapskate hill, but he wasn't thrilled by it.

Considering he's not the enthusiastic, excitable type to begin with, that's his fairly standard response to most things. I'm still trying to convince him the other shows aren't like that, but... oh well.
QUOTE If Al plays again in the area, hopefully there won't be any weather issues and you'll be treated to a much better show.
Konocti and Al don't seem to mix well, do they? That was also the place where he fell off stage and hurt himself a bit.

One thing you can say about Al is that he ALWAYS gives us his ALL!! He cannot control the weather. He can't control venue limitations. Nor does he have control over technical difficulties. No matter what the obstical is The boys do their best to give you the show you deserve. RESPECT THE MAN!! Cuz he'll keep doing it. There had to be some huge reason why there was not an encore. Yoda is a classic. As for the other songs...if you want to watch the same show over and over you might as well buy the DVD of the last tour and watch it. I know it's hard to read emotion in text. I'm not reaming anyone out. Just stickin' up for the man I adore.

There was. The Konocti venue people wouldn't allow it, because all concerts are supposed to end by 10 pm (hey, this is a resort! People are trying to SLEEP around here!) and with the late start due to glitches it was nearly 10:30 by the time Fat was done.

As OE pointed out, there was a 10:00 pm curfew. Rubén was dressed and ready to go for "The Saga Begins" when he got a resounding "NO!!" from the venue.

Yeah...I was wondering if the August 2nd show in St.Louis was to be shortened as well because he's playing two shows that night.

That kind of thing is usually not known this far in advance, especially in this case since it's an event that Al hasn't played before (otherwise, it would be probably very easy to guessulate).

If it's a show at a regular indoor venue, you can probably count on a full show. If its at a fair, its hard to say. Try calling the fair and seeing if they know.

Sorry, about your show, DJ! But, I know that Al was ready to do more, and wants to give you his best. Does anybody know if my show, on the 27th, at Kings Island in Cincy, will be shortened? Thanks!, and this forum is great, it's like no other!
