Funny story...um...Today I got to catch up with my ex during lunch and....it turns out he was lying to me...and now I embarrassed myself in front of him and my other friend because I was freaking out when he told me the first time...and the second time and the millionth time.......And he just HAD to tell me he was joking that whole time when I was wearing my Tacky shirt and holding out my phone with a Tacky phone case.......These kinds of things always happen near Halloween....Someone always tells me something soo exciting about something I love at the time and then a week before it's about to happen they where just joking with me...

...I wish I had better friends...
Stardraw 123, I think that it's so ridiculous that the media has decided that Weird Al isn't cool. More than that, it's so sad that people just go along, like sheep. No, we shouldn't like a talented, funny, intelligent performer. So who are the performers we should geek out over?? And who are the ones we should bully others for liking? Please tell me because without the medias' permission, I don't know who I like.
When I hear this it makes me admire Al even more. He was bullied and instead of buckling under he owned his idiosyncrasies and embraced them proudly. I don't know about where you live, but I have NEVER ONCE in my whole life ever heard a Weird Al song played on the radio. He has created a career without the media choosing to promote him. His talent is so great that he's achieved so much anyway!!!!!
He had some air time on Mtv early on, but now he's on his own. He's not as rich or glorified as Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Beyonce, Katy Perry, etc, but he's got something they haven't got, the courage to be truly unique. And not just for the sake of it, but because he IS unique, JUST LIKE YOU!!!!
Wear your Tacky shirt with pride!!! :accordion: :tacky: :Y :foil:

Stardraw 123, I just can't stop thinking about your post. You know, I wonder if your friends REALLY were excited for you, but later, they felt pressured to back out and say they were joking. Now they're stuck pretending they were joking because they don't want to look stupid.
If that's the case they could DARE TO BE STUPID! :)

That does seem very likely...When my ex told me he was 'joking' the whole time, he did mention he actually got a Hawaiian shirt and that if he had a last minute change of heart, then he might actually be him...but...it doesn't seem that possible since he's going to be a character that HE really likes...

And all this time I thought you were telling that story about your ex planning to dress up like Al as a bad thing, like "that guy is trying to get back together, it's so awkward"

Well....yeah it was a bad thing...but I think the fact that he lied about it is worse than him actually doing it.....if that makes sense...

Just finished watching UHF (again). *sigh* There are so many cute little Al moments that I re-watch a couple of times before carrying on with the movie. The way he waves after handing over the money to save the station. The awkward little smile when Fletcher shouts at George when he comes to Channel 8's station. And when he says 'uh huh' to Teri when they're walking off together at the end. Dreamy!

Anyway, fluffy moment over. :S

Also, how GOOD does he look here?! Such a star!

He does! That picture alone should secure him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
