Re: Mandatory Tour Chatter
It ended up where all 4 tickets were on Steve's side and only one row from each other. It was the second row so the seats were not as bad as they could have been. After 4 years it was nice to see Al again! The next step is to take inventory of my Al cards!
Is my dude a dweeb?

Re: Mandatory Tour Chatter
I miss when Al would improvise a little more, like near the end of Dare to Be Stupid with the whole "I can't hear you! I STILL can't hear you!" schtick, but now it's just like the album version. He also used to get much more into Cell Phones towards the end and I really miss that. "TALKIN BOUT CELL PHONES! WOOOOAHAHHOHHHOHHHAOHHH Cell phones darling"

Re: Mandatory Tour Chatter
S'pose he just has to make room for all the new Mandatory Fun songs? Who knows?
Can I just say how much I love Darth Rubén?!! The way he literally raised cheers with lifting one of his hands, then the other, and playing some little ditty on the keyboard... XDD That was awesome.
Gahhhh since I saw him in Orlando I miss him so. Much. ;____;
It seems he's off to Europe and Australia soon! Is this his first world tour? I feel like a proud mom or something. ROFL.
Does anyone think he'll return to North America for a second tour leg here? Seeing as all the NA tour dates are about to wrap up? I wonder if it's normal to just want to see him again and again, after you've seen him for the first time!
Someone get my hopes up? Please? ;3;

He has been both in Europe and Australia, but it wasn't nearly as big as this tour.Sailor-Polka-Moon wrote:Is this his first world tour?

Re: Mandatory Tour Chatter
Anyone interested in tickets to his concert in London? I purchased two tickets (fantastic seats, row G, seats 22 and 23, and are VIP experience tickets) for my fiancée and I who are now unable to use these. I have been to two of his concerts previously (Myrtle Beach SC back in around 2004 and then Charlotte, NC a few years back) and now live just outside of London. I was extremely excited to see him coming on tour here and purchased tickets as soon as they went on sale back in January.
The concert is being held at the Eventim Apollo on Sunday, October 4th and I asked about a refund which was denied. Which makes sense as up front it makes it clear that refunds are not available. They did let me know that tickets can be transferred to anyone else though, and I really don't want to see these tickets go unused! I paid £82 each for these tickets, which is the price I would like to receive to transfer them. Please send me a message if any interest, the tickets are for pickup at the venue only on the day of the event.
Thanks!
Aaron

Anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to sell these? I'm just going to take a big loss on these, now selling both for 82 pounds total. Buy one get one free..

Try putting them up on Stubhub. That couldn't have worked better for me!weirdalfaninlondon wrote:Anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to sell these? I'm just going to take a big loss on these, now selling both for 82 pounds total. Buy one get one free..

Re: Mandatory Tour Chatter
Something minor I have noticed. Recently (as in, in the last couple days), the lighting has been redone for DTBS. If you watch videos from earlier in the tour compared to now, there are many noticeable differences. For one, whenever he sings nasally ("You better squeeze all the Charmin you can" for example) the front lighting changes from Green to Pink. Also, at the end of the song, the lights used to cut out before Al could do his salute. They fixed that a bit a go, but the new addition to the very last "Dare to be Stupid!" is that the front lighting is changed to Yellow (which I personally would have preferred over the green lighting for a majority of the song) Also, the light chase during the "Join the Crowd, Shout it out Loud" bit has been reprogrammed a little bit. All in all, the flashing lights in the back just seem more in sync with the song rather than random. Just thought I would share (I am a lighting nerd, so I recognize this stuff)
