I haven't been reading every review this tour, so I'm curious: Any instances of Radio Radio happen yet?

Hey there!

I attended the concert in Moncton, New Brunswick~ It was amazing. It was my first concert ever, so I'm glad it was with my idol. His was the first CD I ever bought, and one of the musicians I ever heard so it was really memorable for me, especially since I'm depressed (but it definitely lifted me up!) I learned about a whole bunch of new (to me, actually old songs) songs to listen to!

Now, in my horrid panic of being surrounded by a thousand people, I picked up a The Saga Begins shirt, where I realized a Mandatory Tour shirt would have been more memorable for me. I'm wondering if anyone would like to trade, or if you're going to an upcoming one, could pick me up one? I'll pay you, of course. I just think the tour shirt might be a better piece of memorabilia than something thats easily bought online.

I had 3 seconds! I panicked! :p

Thanks! I hope to snoop around the place a bit, but I thought here might be the best place to find hope of a tour shirt, also...

I can say Dare to be Stupid and All about the Pentium have been added to my sing-out-loud-when-no-one-is-home repertoire ;)

The Best New Things About This Tour (According to Alicia):

*The wind machine that blows Al's hair during several songs. This is obviously the number one thing about the show and it's gotta be as good for him as it is for me.
*Bringing back Cell Phones :')
*At the end of WBUL when Al unbuttons his shirt and like, wipes his chest with his hand and flicks it at some girl in the audience. It's like, the funniest thing, and you get to see his chest hair at the same time. Win-win.
*The First World Problems costume (I would be totally okay with the First World Problems costume also being the WBUL costume.)
*When Al takes off that dumb hat in WBUL
*Handy is actually pretty good in the medley with the voice Al makes and Bermuda's hilarious backup vocals.
*The acoustic medley
*Starting off the show with the Tacky walk. I remember feeling like it would be wrong to not start the show with the polka, but somehow Al found something even better to start the show with. This was a great decision. :bigups:
*Al still does all the high kicks, and does some crazy moves during Yoda while playing the accordion the whole time. He's super strong, yo.
*The new additions to the Fat dance (I crack up every time they do the squat move thing. That might have been there before. Hmm.)
*Santa's teeth!!!!!

Neutral:

*The VIP party. It's very cheesy and kinda ridiculous, but also kinda cool. JW is actually pretty chill. If they continue this in the future, they should separate the lip sync contest from the costume contest. A lip sync contest would be great as a standalone thing, and separating the two would make it easier on those who want to enter the costume contest but get performance anxiety. :lookaround: Probably not worth $100 extra dollars, though. (Side note: Is there a cost breakdown somewhere on how much each VIP item is worth? I'd be interested in seeing that.)
*The regular medley. Kind of a disappointing start, and not really my personal favorite choice of songs. However, one of the best parts of the entire show is when Al is prepping for Bedrock Anthem and untucks his shirt and you can see his belly. So it evens out.
*During eBay, Al doesn't do that silly dance anymore. But I think he's started to do the end of the song "eeeeeeee" thing, which is great.
*The lighting looks super cool during a lot of the songs, especially during the encore with all the stars. It's very very pretty. However, during Lame Claim to Fame and Dare to Be Stupid, if you're not sitting in the right spot, the lights flash so brightly in your eyes so often it makes you kinda sick. That's not as pretty.

#Sadface:

*Al no longer turns all the way around during the Amish Paradise "turn the other cheek" line, and only shows his butt to Steve's side. At least Steve gets to enjoy the view!
*No My Own Eyes (???????????????????????????????????????????? WHAT)
*That dumb hat Al wears for the beginning of WBUL
*No Skipper Dan or Craigslist (nitpicking, but faves will be faves)
*Needs more accordion :accordion:
*Lame Claim to Fame between Tacky and the polka kinda leads to a significant drop in attention, for me at least.
*Al being so exhausted and drained all the time from doing shows every night AND meet and greets AND bus signings if he chooses to do them if he's not completely wiped out makes me so sad but he seems to be getting better at least.

Just wanna be clear that there's waaaaaayyyyy more good than not so good!!!!!! This was just a small sampling of my personal thoughts I wanted to share. :bigups: Great great great show!! Go early, go often! 10 outta 10

He is. His stamina is crazy. The way he performs, his concert is one big cardio/aerobics workout  , and he does that every second day or so :oo . He'll emerge from this tour fitter and stronger than he ever was  .

By "dumb hat" you mean that red one that could be seen in some pics from the first shows? I thought it looked cool. Maybe because I was never a fan of a ponytail the way Al does it. If he brushed his hair back instead of keeping the parting, that woul be better. But I guess after decades of parting his hair the same all the time it's nearly impossible to make it bend in different direction

It was funny watching people scurrying to pick up Santa's "teeth." Haha. What were they? Tic tacs?
