Vonnegut was a writer of Weird. So now you have my L.C.2.F. and a Vonnegut quote!

Cool! Vonnegut was one of my favorite authors in high school, and I just started re-reading some of his stuff this weekend!

One of my favorite stories--20-some years ago, when Michael Jordan was still playing for the Chicago Bulls, my dad ran into him at the Philly airport (along with the rest of the team). He went up to Michael and said, "Hey Michael, go out and score 50 [points]!" Michael responds, "Just want to win!" [side note: If my dad tells you the story, he'll make Michael sound like he graciously accepted the encouragement; though if my mom tells you the story, she'll make Michael sound annoyed, as if to say, "Leave me alone, I know how to play basketball!"]. Lo and behold, my dad was watching the game that night, and surely enough, Michael Jordan went out and scored 50!

My lame claim: My pre-calculus teacher was one of Taylor Lautner's martial arts instructors, around when Taylor was Sharkboy.
This is KAOS! We do not polka here!

Awesome! I worked at a summer camp when I was 16 and one of my campers (who was 6 years old at the time) was OBSESSED with Sharkboy and Lava Girl--he even asked us to call him Sharkboy and he would wear a paper fin on his back!

Not sure if I've mentioned this "lame claim to fame" yet, but it's one of the more recent: I perform with a Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast (we're the group of actors who performs in front of the movie being played at midnight screenings) and twice a year, we perform at Monster Mania Con (a convention for horror TV/movies ie: American Horror Story). This past March, I arrived with one of my castmates at the hotel where the convention was taking place, and as the elevator was about to go up to the floor where the rest of our cast was, a woman who was around 7 feet tall entered the elevator--it was Amazon Eve from American Horror Story! She and Naomi Grossman, who plays Pepper on AHS, came to see our performance of Rocky Horror, where our preshow was inspired by AHS (Frank-N-Furter did David Bowie's "Life on Mars" as Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange) and we also did the Name Game). When Pepper was called, we brought Naomi Grossman up on stage, where she danced with us! We were so in awe--especially when we discovered she mentioned us on all her social media!

It was indeed! Just thought of another one...I'm pretty sure Snooki (from Jersey Shore) called my work one night; the caller ID said Nicole Polizzi, so I picked up the phone (I am the front desk manager of a hair salon) and she was asking if a particular stylist worked for us, and the person she was looking for was not one of our employees, so the conversation was very brief.

My girlfriend attended the same grade school as Snooki. She showed me Snooki's yearbook picture. She looks pretty much the same.
