Somewhere in the office there's a voodoo doll resembling Al with pushpins in it.Kevbo1987 wrote:It's nice to see Al's label giving him some love, especially since it seems like there's been some tension between Al and the label. It's good that they seem to be parting on good terms.

RCA is owned by Sony. According to the Amazon page for Mandatory Fun, Al is on RCA.minnick27 wrote:Als on Sony, the quotes were from a guy at RCA

Shared from the American Bandstand twitter. Brief interview - Dick Clark talks to Al - 12/28/85
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

I listened to a larger part of the audio wondering how young Al sounds until I realised it was 1985, not 2012algonacchick wrote:Shared from the American Bandstand twitter. Brief interview - Dick Clark talks to Al - 12/28/85

I thought the only difference was month/day/year vs day/month/year. I never knew there was a third option: year/month/day.mellow weasel wrote:I listened to a larger part of the audio wondering how young Al sounds until I realised it was 1985, not 2012algonacchick wrote:Shared from the American Bandstand twitter. I think that's even screwier.

Also, I think we're more accustomed to what we're taught, so anything different seems wrong.

Re: Important Al Interviews/reviews.
We use year/month/day, eg. 2015-01-04, but I'm fine with day/month/year too - smallest to largest or largest to smallest, it's still some sort of logical order.algonacchick wrote:I thought the only difference was month/day/year vs day/month/year. I think that's even screwier.Besides, wouldn't the 85 part give away the year?

I only noticed 85 when the interviewer mentioned 86 and I looked closer to a date
