i've not been to a Weird Al concert- YET! hence why i'm so beyond uber-excited for the Mandatory Fun tour!

To date, two:
First time I saw him in concert was during the Running With Scissors Tour, I think in 2000, at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo, CO.

Second time was during the Straight Outta Lynwood Tour, I want to say about 2006 thought it may have been 2007, at Fiddler's Green in Greenwood Village, CO.

Hoping my third attendance will be soon!

Just the two so far:

10/20/2007 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles with my high school friend Ara (who also went with me to the SOL album signing the previous year), which doubled as my very first concert;

and

8/23/2010 at Humboldt State University's Van Duzer Theatre, with my friend and classmate Dave, who bought a ticket at the least minute and managed to get a seat in the front rows.

These still remain the only concerts I've ever attended to date. I'd love to see some of my other favorite bands (Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica) in concert, but until then I'll just have to make do with live DVDs.

My next show will be number 27! I've got 26 dating back to May 96. The wife has me beat at 27 dating back to July 1992.

First one I went to was at the Kern County Fair in Bakersfield, during the Alapalooza tour on 9/23/94. Second was at the same venue in October of 1996 (Bad Hair Tour). Third time was in July of 2000 in San Diego for Touring With Scissors. Fourth was July of 2004 in Costa Mesa (Poodle Hat). Fifth was October of 2007 at the Greek Theater in LA for SOL (Hi, avesjohn!). And finally August of 2012 in Costa Mesa for ALpocalypse.

So that's 6 times. All in California.

I hope I can make it to a seventh, but so far there are no Mandatory Tour venues listed for SoCal.

That's 14 shows so far! Looking forward to hopefully catching a couple more during the Mandatory World Tour. Also, I just noticed the date of my first Al show and had to laugh -- I just got married this past August 3rd! I knew there was a subconscious reason we picked that date, it's a lucky one....
