I have been wanting to rework the whole "Drooling Over Al" thing for a while now...perhaps we can create some sort of conglomerate where we discuss both sides of the spectrum like Sailor-Polka-Moon mentioned! Maybe we can get a new subforum out of it, who knows. If anyone has any suggestions on how to bring the fangirling into 2014, post them here or PM me!

omg I died laughing when he hugged Conan, traditional Al Leg Hug style-- and then slung the OTHER leg around Conan's waist and gave him a full on both-legs-around hug!!

omg I died laughing when he hugged Conan, traditional Al Leg Hug style-- and then slung the OTHER leg around Conan's waist and gave him a full on both-legs-around hug!!

Al jumping into Conan's arms was adorable! haha if that's a traditional Al hug, i want one! (although i think we'd both fall over :p )

& some of the youtube comments made me mad! people were criticizing his singing, saying he was off pitch, etc. ok yeah it wasn't his best vocally, but literally his *only* mistake was starting out the song using shallow chest breaths, which makes it a struggle to get enough breath/support. it's not that big of a deal, people in the youtube peanut gallery! all he has to do is take a deep breath next time, which he usually does anyway. tbh i found the few cracked/flat high notes at the end rather adorable and charming because the performance was REAL and i like when singers are human and singing with heart - mistakes and all- and not autotuned perfectionist robots.

tl; dr: Al can totally sing, and youtube commenters suck even more than Atlantic Records.

now i'm curious, did he have voice lessons /formal training, or is he self-taught? anyone know? imho his voice is beautiful.
